(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، سَمِعَ عَمْرًا ، عَنْ عَتَّابِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ : لَا أَدْرِي مَنْ عَتَّابٌ ؟ ، " لَوْ أَمْسَكَ اللَّهُ الْقَطْرَ عَنِ النَّاسِ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ ، ثُمَّ أَرْسَلَهُ لَأَصْبَحَتْ طَائِفَةٌ بِهِ كَافِرِينَ ، يَقُولُونَ : مُطِرْنَا بِنَوْءِ الْمِجْدَحِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If Allah Almighty withholds rain from the people for seven years, then when He sends down rain, even at that time a group of people, being ungrateful, will say: "It rained upon us due to the influence of the star Mujdah."
