Musnad Ahmad 11033 — Musnad of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ أَبِي : قُلْتُ سُفْيَانُ سَمِعَهُ ؟ قَالَ : زَعَمَ ، " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ صَلَاةٍ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ ، وَبَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade offering voluntary prayers after the Asr prayer until sunset and after the Fajr prayer until sunrise.
