Hadith 9433
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا يَتَصَدَّقُ أَحَدٌ بِتَمْرَةٍ مِنْ كَسْبٍ طَيِّبٍ ، إِلَّا أَخَذَهَا اللَّهُ بِيَمِينِهِ يُرَبِّيهَا لَهُ ، كَمَا يُرَبِّي أَحَدُكُمْ فَلُوَّهُ أَوْ فَصِيلَهُ حَتَّى تَكُونَ لَهُ مِثْلَ الْجَبَلِ أَوْ أَعْظَمَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a servant gives charity from his wealth, Allah accepts it and takes it in His right hand, and just as one of you raises and nurtures a baby goat, likewise Allah nurtures it, until it grows in Allah’s hand and becomes as large as a mountain.
Hadith 9434
وَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا يُبْغِضُ الْأَنْصَارَ رَجُلٌ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ، وَلَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ ، وَلَوْ سَلَكَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِيَهُمْ أَوْ شِعْبَهُمْ ، الْأَنْصَارُ شِعَارِي ، وَالنَّاسُ دِثَارِي " .
And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No one who believes in Allah and the Last Day can harbor hatred against the Ansar. If there had been no migration, I would have been one of the Ansar. If people were to walk in one valley and the Ansar in another valley, I would walk with the Ansar in their valley. The Ansar are my inner garment and the general people are my outer garment.
Hadith 9435
وأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَهَى عَنْ لُبْسَتَيْنِ : الصَّمَّاءِ ، وَأَنْ يَحْتَبِيَ الرَّجُلُ بِثَوْبِهِ لَيْسَ عَلَى فَرْجِهِ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ ، وَعَنِ الْمُلَامَسَةِ ، وَالْمُنَابَذَةِ ، وَالْمُحَاقَلَةِ ، وَالْمُزَابَنَةِ " .
And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade two types of clothing: one is that a person sits wrapped in a single garment with nothing covering his private parts at all, and the second is that a person wraps himself in his lower garment while praying. And he forbade the transactions of mulamasah, munabadhah, muhaqalah, and muzabanah.
Hadith 9436
وَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " يَنْزِلُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ حِينَ يَمْضِي ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ الْأَوَّلُ ، فَيَقُولُ : أَنَا الْمَلِكُ , مَرَّتَيْنِ ، مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَدْعُونِي فَأَسْتَجِيبَ له ؟ ، مَنْ الَّذِي يَسْأَلُنِي فَأُعْطِيَهُ ؟ ، مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَسْتَغْفِرُنِي فَأَغْفِرَ لَهُ ؟ . فَلَا يَزَالُ كَذَلِكَ حَتَّى يُضِيءَ الْفَجْرُ " .
And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every night, when one third of the night remains, Allah Almighty descends to the lowest heaven and announces: I am the True King (twice). Who is there who supplicates to Me so that I may accept his supplication? Who is there who seeks forgiveness from Me so that I may forgive him? Who is there who asks from Me so that I may grant him? This announcement continues until the break of dawn.
Hadith 9437
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثِ بْنِ طَلْقِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ النَّخَعِيُّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ طَلْقَ بْنَ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا زُرْعَةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ امْرَأَةً أَتَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِصَبِيٍّ لَهَا ، فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، ادْعُ اللَّهَ لَهُ فَقَدْ دَفَنْتُ ثَلَاثَةً . فَقَالَ : " لَقَدْ احْتَظَرْتِ بِحِظَارٍ شَدِيدٍ مِنَ النَّارِ " . قَالَ حَفْصٌ : سَمِعْتُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ مِنْ سِتِّينَ سَنَةً , وَلَمْ أَبْلُغْ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ ، وَسَمِعْتُ حَفْصًا يَذْكُرُ هَذَا الْكَلَامَ سَنَةَ سَبْعٍ وَثَمَانِينَ وَمِائَةٍ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that a woman came to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with a child and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), pray for (the life of) this child, for I have already buried three of my children." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then you have indeed protected yourself well from the fire of Hell."
Hadith 9438
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ بْن أَحْمَد : سَمِعْت أَنَا مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الْإِمَامُ لِيُؤْتَمَّ بِهِ ، فَإِذَا كَبَّرَ فَكَبِّرُوا ، وَإِذَا قَرَأَ فَأَنْصِتُوا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Imam is appointed only so that he may be followed. Therefore, when he says the takbeer, you should also say the takbeer, and when he recites (the Qur'an), you should remain silent.
Hadith 9439
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ , قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ بْن أَحْمَد : وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْهُ , حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَرَّ بِسَعْدٍ وَهُوَ يَدْعُو ، فَقَالَ : " أَحِّدْ أَحِّدْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once passed by Hazrat Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was supplicating (and during this he was gesturing with two fingers). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Gesture with one finger, with one finger."
Hadith 9440
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْ كَانَ الْعِلْمُ بِالثُّرَيَّا لَتَنَاوَلَهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أبنَاءِ فَارِسَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If knowledge were to be found even at the Pleiades, some people from among the descendants of Persia would acquire it from there.
Hadith 9441
حَدَّثَنَا مَكِّيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي حَكِيمٍ مَوْلَى آلِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ ابْنِ مَرْجَانَةَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " مَنْ أَعْتَقَ رَقَبَةً مُؤْمِنَةً أَعْتَقَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ إِرْبٍ مِنْهُ إِرْبًا مِنَ النَّارِ ، حَتَّى أَنَّهُ لَيَعْتِقُ بِالْيَدِ الْيَدَ ، وَبِالرِّجْلِ الرِّجْلَ ، وَبِالْفَرْجِ الْفَرْجَ " . فَقَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ : أَأَنْتَ سَمِعْتَ هَذَا مِنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؟ ، فَقَالَ سَعِيدٌ نَعَمْ : فَقَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ لِغُلَامٍ لَهُ أَفْرَهَ غِلْمَانِهِ ، ادْعُ لِي مُطَرِّيًا ، قَالَ : فَلَمَّا قَامَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ ، قَالَ : اذْهَبْ فَأَنْتَ حُرٌّ لِوَجْهِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever frees a Muslim slave, Allah will free every limb of the one who frees him from Hell in exchange for every limb of that slave, even so far as a hand for a hand, a foot for a foot, and the private part for the private part.
Hadith 9442
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " أَسْلَمُ , وَغِفَارٌ وَشَيْءٌ مِنْ جُهَيْنَةَ , وَمُزَيْنَةَ ، خَيْرٌ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ تَمِيمٍ , وَأَسَدِ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ , وَهَوَازِنَ , وَغَطَفَانَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, some part of the tribes of Aslam, Ghifar, Muzaina, and Juhaina will be better in the sight of Allah than Banu Asad, Banu Ghatafan, Hawazin, and Tamim.
Hadith 9443
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " نِسَاءُ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ يُرَى مُخُّ سُوقِهِنَّ مِنْ وَرَاءِ اللَّحْمِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The marrow of the shins of the women of Paradise will be visible from outside the flesh.
Hadith 9444
حَدَّثَنا حسنُ بن موسى ، حدثنا شيبان بن عبد الرحمن ، حدثنا يحيى بن أبى كثير ، عن أبى سَلَمة بن عبد الرحمن ، عن أبى هريرة ، قال : بينما أنا أُصَلّى مع رسولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الظُّهْرِ سَلَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ من ركعتين ، فقام رجلٌ من بنى سُلَيْم فقال : يا رسولَ الله ، أَقَصُرَت الصَّلاةُ أم نَسِيتَ ؟ ، فقال رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لم تَقْصُرِ الصَّلاةُ ولم أَنْسَهْ " . قال : يا رسولَ الله ، إنَّما صَلَّيْتَ ركعتين . فقال رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَحَقَّ ما يقولُ ذو اليَدَيْنِ ؟ " . قالوا : نَعَمْ . قال : فقام , فصَلَّى بهم رَكْعتينِ أُخْرَيَيْنِ . قال يحيى : حدثني ضَمْضَم بن جوس أنه سمع أبا هريرة يقول : ثم سَجَدَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَجْدَتين
Haddathana Hasan ibn Musa, Haddathana Shayban ibn Abd al-Rahman, Haddathana Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from Abi Salamah ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: While I was praying with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, the noon prayer, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, gave salam after two rak‘ahs. Then a man from Banu Sulaym stood up and said: O Messenger of Allah, has the prayer been shortened or did you forget? The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The prayer has not been shortened, nor did I forget." He said: O Messenger of Allah, you only prayed two rak‘ahs. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Is what Dhu al-Yadayn says true?" They said: Yes. He stood up and prayed two more rak‘ahs with them. Yahya said: Dhamdham ibn Jaws narrated to me that he heard Abu Hurayrah say: Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, performed two prostrations.
Hadith 9445
حدثنا حسنُ بن موسى ، قال : حدثنا شَيْبانُ ، عن يَحيى بن أبي كثيرٍ ، قال : أخبرني أبو سَلَمة ، أن أبا هريرة أخبره , أنَّ رسولَ الله صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قال : " مَنْ قامَ رمضانَ إيمانًا واحتسابًا ، غُفِرَ له ما تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِه ، ومَنْ قامَ لَيْلَةَ القَدْرِ إِيمانًا واحْتِسابًا ، غُفِرَ له ما تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ "
Hassan ibn Musa narrated to us, he said: Shaiban narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, he said: Abu Salama informed me, that Abu Huraira informed him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever stands (in prayer) during Ramadan out of faith and seeking reward, his past sins will be forgiven; and whoever stands (in prayer) during the Night of Decree out of faith and seeking reward, his past sins will be forgiven."
Hadith 9446
حدثنا حسنٌ ، قال : حدثنا شَيْبانُ ، عن يحيى ، قال : حدثني أبو سلمة ، أنه سمع أبا هريرة ، يقول : قال رسولَ الله صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا تُنْكَحُ المرأَةُ وخالَتُها ، ولا المرأَةُ وعَمَّتُها "
Hassan narrated to us, he said: Shaiban narrated to us, from Yahya, he said: Abu Salama narrated to me, that he heard Abu Huraira say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A woman is not to be married together with her maternal aunt, nor a woman together with her paternal aunt."
Hadith 9447
حدثنا حسنٌ ، قال : حدثنا شَيبانُ ، عن يحيى ، حدثني أبو سَلَمة ، عن أبى هريرة ، قال : كان رسولَ الله صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يدعو بهَؤُلاء الكلماتِ : " اللَّهمَّ إنَّي أَعُوذ بِكَ مِنْ عَذابِ النارِ ، ومِن عَذابِ القَبرِ ، ومِن فِتْنَةِ المَحْيا والمَمات ، ومِن شَرَّ المَسِيحِ الدَّجالِ "
Hassan narrated to us, he said: Shaiban narrated to us, from Yahya, he told me, Abu Salama, from Abu Huraira, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to supplicate with these words: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the Fire, and from the punishment of the grave, and from the trial of life and death, and from the evil of the false messiah (al-Masih al-Dajjal)."
Hadith 9448
حدثنا حسنٌ ، قال : حدثنا شَيبانُ ، عن يحيى ، عن سعيدٍ , أن أباه أخبره , أنه سمع أبا هريرة ، يقول : قال رسولَ الله صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا يَحِلُ لاِمْرَأَةٍ أَنْ تُسافِرَ يومًا فما فَوْقَهُ إلاَّ وَمَعْهَا ذُو حُرْمَةٍ "
Hassan narrated to us, he said: Shaiban narrated to us, from Yahya, from Sa'id, that his father informed him, that he heard Abu Huraira say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "It is not permissible for a woman to travel for a day or more except with a mahram."
Hadith 9449
حدثنا غَسَّانُ بن الرَّبيعِ المَوصِلي ، قال : حدثنا حماد بن سَلَمة ، عن عاصم بن بَهْدلة ، عن أبى صالحٍ ، عن أبى هريرة , أنَّ النبيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قال : " يُؤْتَى بالموتِ كَبْشًا أَغْثَرَ ، فيُوقَفُ بين الجَنَّة والنار ، فيُقالُ : يا أهلَ الجَنَّةِ ، فيَشْرَئِبُّون ويَنْظُرُونَ ، فَيُذْبَحُ , فيقالُ : خُلُودًا لا مَوْتَ " .
Narrated to us Ghassan ibn al-Rabi' al-Mawsili, he said: Narrated to us Hammad ibn Salamah, from 'Asim ibn Bahdalah, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Death will be brought as a scrawny ram, and it will be placed between Paradise and the Fire. It will be said: O people of Paradise, and they will crane their necks and look. Then it will be slaughtered, and it will be said: Eternity, no death."
Hadith 9450
حدثنا أبو معاويةَ ، وَمحمد بن عبيد الله , قالا : حدثنا الأعمشُ ، عن أبى صالحٍ أبى سعيد ، عنِ النبي صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فذَكَراه
Abu Muawiyah and Muhammad ibn Ubayd Allah narrated to us, they said: Al-A’mash narrated to us, from Abu Salih, from Abu Sa’id, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and they both mentioned it.
Hadith 9451
حدثنا غسان بن الرَّبيع ، قال : حدثنا حماد بن سَلَمة ، عن أيوبَ ، عن ابنِ سِيرِين ، عن أبى هريرة ، قال : قال النبيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكم : عَبْدي وأَمَتي ، ولا يَقُولَنَّ المَمْلُوكُ : رَبَّي ورَبتي ، لِيَقُلِ المالِكُ : فَتَايَ وفتاتِي ، ولْيَقُلِ الْمَمْلُوكُ : سَيَّدي وسَيَّدَتِي ، فإنهم المَمْلُوكُون ، والَّربُّ الله عَزَّ وجلَّ "
Ghassan ibn al-Rabi‘ narrated to us, he said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Ibn Sirin, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "None of you should say: 'My slave (male) and my slave-girl (female),' and the slave should not say: 'My lord and my lady.' Let the owner say: 'My boy and my girl,' and let the slave say: 'My master and my mistress,' for they are only owned, and the Lord is Allah, Mighty and Majestic."
Hadith 9452
حدثنا غسانُ ، حدثنا حماد بن سَلَمة ، عن محمد بن عَمْرو ، عن أبى سَلمة ، عن أبى هريرة , أن رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قال : " إنْ كانَ في شيءٍ مِما تَدَاوَوْنَ به خَيْرٌ ، ففيِ الحِجامَةِ "
Narrated to us by Ghassan, narrated to us by Hammad ibn Salamah, from Muhammad ibn Amr, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If there is any good in what you use as a remedy, it is in cupping."
Hadith 9453
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ بْن أَحْمَد : وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْهُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " مَنْ أَحَبَّ لِقَاءَ اللَّهِ ، أَحَبَّ اللَّهُ لِقَاءَهُ ، وَمَنْ كَرِهَ لِقَاءَ اللَّهِ ، كَرِهَ اللَّهُ لِقَاءَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever likes to meet Allah, Allah likes to meet him; and whoever does not like to meet Allah, Allah does not like to meet him either.
Hadith 9454
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي مَعْرُوفُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ الْجُذَامِيُّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَلِيَّ بْنَ رَبَاحٍ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " لَا عَدْوَى ، وَلَا طِيَرَةَ ، وَالْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No disease is contagious, and there is no reality in (believing in the influence of) birds, and the evil eye is true.
Hadith 9455
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَخْرَمَةُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عِرَاكِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ , عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " لَيْسَ فِي الْعَبْدِ صَدَقَةٌ ، إِلَّا صَدَقَةَ الْفِطْرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet said: There is no zakat on a slave except for Sadaqat al-Fitr.
Hadith 9456
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " لَا تُصَرُّوا الْإِبِلَ وَالْغَنَمَ ، فَمَنْ ابْتَاعَ مُصَرَّاةً فَهُوَ بِآخِرِ النَّظَرَيْنِ ، إِنْ شَاءَ أَمْسَكَهَا وَإِنْ شَاءَ رَدَّهَا بِصَاعٍ مِنْ تَمْرٍ ، وَلَا تَسْأَلْ الْمَرْأَةُ طَلَاقَ أُخْتِهَا ، وَلَا تَنَاجَشُوا ، وَلَا يَبِعْ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَيْعِ بَعْضٍ ، وَلَا يَبِعْ حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) in a marfu’ form that: Do not tie the udders of a goat or a she-camel in order to sell it at a good price. Whoever (being deceived by this) buys such a she-camel or goat, then he has the choice of two things, whichever is better for him: either he keeps the animal with himself (and lets the matter go), or he returns the animal to its owner and gives a sa’ of dates along with it. And do not make deals with traders outside (the market). And no woman should demand the divorce of her sister. And do not deceive one another, and do not sell over the sale of one another, and no townsman should sell the merchandise of a villager.
Hadith 9457
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي حَيْوَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مَوْلَى شَدَّادِ بْنِ الْهَادِ , أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ سَمِعَ رَجُلًا يَنْشُدُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ضَالَّةً ، فَلْيَقُلْ : لَا أَدَّاهَا اللَّهُ إليك ، فَإِنَّ الْمَسَاجِدَ لَمْ تُبْنَ لِذَلِكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: Whoever hears a person announcing a lost item in the mosque, he should say to him, "May Allah not return it to you," because mosques were not built for such announcements.
Hadith 9458
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ حَيْوَةَ ، يَقُولُ : حَدَّثَنِي حُمَيْدُ بْنُ هَانِئٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى غِفَارَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لَا تَبِيعُوا فَضْلَ الْمَاءِ ، وَلَا تَمْنَعُوا الْكَلَأَ ، فَيَهْزُلَ الْمَالُ وَيَجُوعَ الْعِيَالُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: Do not withhold surplus water, do not withhold surplus grass, otherwise wealth will become scarce and children will remain hungry.
Hadith 9459
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ حَيْوَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْهَادِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ قَالَهُ : " جِهَادُ الْكَبِيرِ وَالضَّعِيفِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ : الْحَجُّ وَالْعُمْرَةُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The jihad of the elderly, the weak, and the woman is Hajj and Umrah.
Hadith 9460
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيُّ ، أَنَّ جَعْفَرَ بْنَ رَبِيعَةَ حَدَّثَهُ , أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجَ حَدَّثَهُ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا هَامَ , لَا هَامَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no reality to a worm coming out of the skull of the deceased. He said this sentence twice.
Hadith 9461
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ ، قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ : وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ هَارُونَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ غَزِيَّةَ ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا صَالِحٍ ذَكْوَانَ يُحَدِّثُ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَقْرَبُ مَا يَكُونُ الْعَبْدُ مِنْ رَبِّهِ وَهُوَ سَاجِدٌ ، فَأَكْثِرُوا الدُّعَاءَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: A person is closest to his Lord while in prostration, so make plenty of supplication (du'a) in prostration.
Hadith 9462
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ هُرْمُزَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ مَا قَعَدَ يَنْتَظِرُ الصَّلَاةَ فِي صَلَاةٍ مَا لَمْ يُحْدِثْ ، تَدْعُو لَهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ : اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ ، اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever among you waits for the prayer, he is counted as being in prayer, and the angels continue to pray for his forgiveness as long as he does not lose his ablution, and they keep saying: O Allah! Forgive him, O Allah! Have mercy on him.
Hadith 9463
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا يُونُسَ مَوْلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدَّثَهُ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ بَرَكَةً ، إِلَّا أَصْبَحَ كَثِيرٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ بِهَا كَافِرِينَ ، يُنَزِّلُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ الْغَيْثَ ، فَيَقُولُونَ : بِكَوْكَبِ كَذَا وَكَذَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whenever Allah the Exalted sends down blessings (rain) from the sky, a group of His servants begins to show ingratitude for it. Allah sends down the rain, and they say that it happened due to the influence of such-and-such star.
Hadith 9464
حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ بَهْرَامَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شَهْرُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ وَامْرَأَةٌ لَهُ فِي السَّلَفِ الْخَالِي لَا يَقْدِرَانِ عَلَى شَيْءٍ ، فَجَاءَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ سَفَرِهِ , فَدَخَلَ عَلَى امْرَأَتِهِ جَائِعًا ، قَدْ أَصَابَتْهُ مَسْغَبَةٌ شَدِيدَةٌ ، فَقَالَ لِامْرَأَتِهِ : أَعِنْدَكِ شَيْءٌ ؟ ، قَالَتْ : نَعَمْ , أَبْشِرْ أَتَاكَ رِزْقُ اللَّهِ . فَاسْتَحَثَّهَا ، فَقَالَ : وَيْحَكِ ، ابْتَغِي إِنْ كَانَ عِنْدَكِ شَيْءٌ . قَالَتْ : نَعَمْ ، هُنَيَّةً نَرْجُو رَحْمَةَ اللَّهِ ، حَتَّى إِذَا طَالَ عَلَيْهِ الطَّوَى ، قَالَ : وَيْحَكِ ، قُومِي فَابْتَغِي إِنْ كَانَ عِنْدَكِ خُبْزٌ فَأْتِينِي بِهِ فَإِنِّي قَدْ بَلَغْتُ وَجَهِدْتُ . فَقَالَتْ : نَعَمْ ، الْآنَ يَنْضَجُ التَّنُّورُ فَلَا تَعْجَلْ . فَلَمَّا أَنْ سَكَتَ عَنْهَا سَاعَةً , وَتَحَيَّنَتْ أَيْضًا أَنْ يَقُولَ لَهَا , قَالَتْ هِيَ مِنْ عِنْدِ نَفْسِهَا : لَوْ قُمْتُ فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَى تَنُّورِي ، فَقَامَتْ فَوَجَدَتْ تَنُّورَهَا مَلْآنَ جُنُوبَ الْغَنَمِ وَرَحْيَيْهَا تَطْحَنَانِ ، فَقَامَتْ إِلَى الرَّحَى , فَنَفَضَتْهَا وَأَخْرَجَتْ مَا فِي تَنُّورِهَا مِنْ جُنُوبِ الْغَنَمِ . قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسُ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ بِيَدِهِ ، عَنْ قَوْلِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْ أَخَذَتْ مَا فِي رَحْيَيْهَا وَلَمْ تَنْفُضْهَا لَطَحَنَتْهَا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that in earlier times there was a husband and wife who had no means of sustenance. Once, the man returned from a journey and was extremely hungry. He went to his wife and asked, "Do you have anything?" She replied, "Yes! Rejoice, for Allah's provision has come to you." He affectionately said, "If you have something, bring it quickly." She said, "Alright, just wait a little while, we are hopeful of Allah's mercy." But as the moments of waiting grew longer, he said to his wife, "Wretched woman! Go, if you have any bread, bring it, for I am exhausted from hunger." She said, "Alright, the oven is being prepared, do not hurry." When he remained silent for a little while longer and his wife saw that he was about to ask again, she thought to herself that she should get up and check the oven (perhaps there might be something in it). So she stood up and saw that the oven was filled with goat thighs and both of her mills were grinding flour. She went to the mill, took the flour, sifted it, and took out the goat thighs from the oven (and they enjoyed them to their fill). Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that by the One in whose hand is the life of Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him), if she had not taken out the flour from the mills and cleaned them, flour would have continued to come out of them and they would have kept grinding until the Day of Judgment.
Hadith 9465
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، وَجَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي وَحْشِيَّةَ ، وَعَبَّادِ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ , عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ وَهُمْ يَتَنَازَعُونَ فِي الشَّجَرَةِ الَّتِي اجْتُثَّتْ مِنْ فَوْقِ الْأَرْضِ مَا لَهَا مِنْ قَرَارٍ ، فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ : أَحْسَبُهَا الْكَمْأَةَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " الْكَمْأَةُ مِنَ الْمَنِّ ، وَمَاؤُهَا شِفَاءٌ لِلْعَيْنِ ، وَالْعَجْوَةُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ ، وَهِيَ شِفَاءٌ لِلسُّمِّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to his companions and they were expressing their opinions about that tree which rises from the surface of the earth and does not remain fixed. Some people said, "In our opinion, it is the mushroom." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "The mushroom is a part of manna (which was sent down upon the Children of Israel), and its water is a cure for the eyes. And the Ajwa date is a date from Paradise and is a cure for poison."
Hadith 9466
حَدَّثَنَا فَزَارَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا فُلَيْحٌ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَزْوَةٍ غَزَاهَا , فَأَرْمَلَ فِيهَا الْمُسْلِمُونَ ، وَاحْتَاجُوا إِلَى الطَّعَامِ ، فَاسْتَأْذَنُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي نَحْرِ الْإِبِلِ ، فَأَذِنَ لَهُمْ ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ، قَالَ : فَجَاءَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِبِلُهُمْ تَحْمِلُهُمْ وَتُبَلِّغُهُمْ عَدُوَّهُمْ ، يَنْحَرُونَهَا ؟ , بَلْ ادْعُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ بِغَبَرَاتِ الزَّادِ ، فَادْعُ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِيهَا بِالْبَرَكَةِ . قَالَ : " أَجَلْ " ، قَالَ : فَدَعَا بِغَبَرَاتِ الزَّادِ ، فَجَاءَ النَّاسُ بِمَا بَقِيَ مَعَهُمْ , فَجَمَعَهُ ، ثُمَّ دَعَا اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِيهِ بِالْبَرَكَةِ , وَدَعَا بِأَوْعِيَتِهِمْ فَمَلَأَهَا ، وَفَضَلَ فَضْلٌ كَثِيرٌ , فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ : " أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنِّي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولُهُ ، وَمَنْ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِهِمَا غَيْرَ شَاكٍّ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went on a military expedition, where the Muslims were afflicted by hunger and were surrounded by a severe need for food. They sought permission from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to slaughter their camels. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) granted them permission. When Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) learned of this, he presented himself before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), will they slaughter the very camels on which they ride and with which they approach the enemy? O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), please have them bring whatever provisions they have in scattered amounts, and pray to Allah for blessing in it." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) accepted his suggestion and had the scattered provisions that were present in the camp brought together. The noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) brought whatever leftover food they had. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gathered it and prayed to Allah for blessing in it, and said, "Bring your own vessels." Everyone's vessels were filled, and a large quantity was still left over. Upon this, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I bear witness that there is no deity except Allah, and that I am Allah's servant and His Messenger. Whoever meets Allah with these two testimonies, without having any doubt in them, will enter Paradise."

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فَسَأَلَهُ , فَقَالَ : يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنْتَ نَهَيْتَ النَّاسَ أَنْ يَصُومُوا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ؟ قَالَ : لَا لَعَمْرُ اللَّهِ ، غَيْرَ أَنِّي وَرَبِّ هَذِهِ الْحُرْمَةِ ، وَرَبِّ هَذِهِ الْحُرْمَةِ ، لَقَدْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لَا يَصُومَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، إِلَّا فِي أَيَّامٍ يَصُومُهُ فِيهَا " . قال : فَجَاءَ آخَرُ , فَقَالَ : يَا قال : فَجَاءَ آخَرُ , فَقَالَ : يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنْتَ نَهَيْتَ النَّاسَ أَنْ يُصَلُّوا فِي نِعَالِهِمْ ؟ قَالَ : لَا لَعَمْرُ اللَّهِ ، غَيْرَ أَنِّي وَرَبِّ هَذِهِ الْحُرْمَةِ ، وَرَبِّ هَذِهِ الْحُرْمَةِ ، لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " يُصَلِّي إِلَى هَذَا الْمَقَامِ وَإِنَّ عَلَيْهِ نَعْلَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ وَهُمَا عَلَيْهِ " .
Abu Al-Awbar, may Allah have mercy on him, says that a man came to Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, and said, "Are you the one who forbids people from fasting on the day of Friday?" He replied, "No, by Allah! By the Lord of this Sacred House, I heard the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, say: 'None of you should fast on Friday alone, unless it is part of his regular practice.'" Then another man came and said, "O Abu Hurairah, are you the one who forbids people from praying while wearing shoes?" He replied, "No, by the Lord of this Sacred House, I saw the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, himself standing in this very place, praying while wearing shoes and then leaving."
Hadith 9468
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ لَمْ تَزَلْ الْمَلَائِكَةُ تَقُولُ : اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ ، اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْهُ مَا لَمْ يُحْدِثْ أَوْ يَقُومْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: When any one of you offers prayer and then remains seated at the same place, the angels continuously pray for his forgiveness as long as he does not lose his ablution or leave his place, and they keep saying: O Allah, forgive him; O Allah, have mercy on him.
Hadith 9469
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأُمَوِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرِ بْنِ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " إِذَا أَتَى أَحَدُكُمْ فِرَاشَهُ فَلْيَنْزِعْ دَاخِلَةَ إِزَارِهِ ثُمَّ لِيَنْفُضْ بِهَا فِرَاشَهُ ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي مَا حَدَثَ عَلَيْهِ بَعْدَهُ ، ثُمَّ لِيَضْطَجِعْ عَلَى جَنْبِهِ الْأَيْمَنِ ، ثُمَّ لِيَقُلْ : بِاسْمِكَ رَبِّي وَضَعْتُ جَنْبِي ، وَبِكَ أَرْفَعُهُ ، إِنْ أَمْسَكْتَ نَفْسِي فَارْحَمْهَا ، وَإِنْ أَرْسَلْتَهَا فَاحْفَظْهَا ، بِمَا حَفِظْتَ بِهِ عِبَادَكَ الصَّالِحِينَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you wakes up at night and then comes to his bed, he should dust his bed with the edge of his lower garment, because he does not know what thing may have come onto his bed after him. Then he should say: O Allah, by Your name I lay my side on the earth, and by Your name I will rise. If You take my soul, then forgive it, and if You send it back, then protect it in the same way as You protect Your righteous servants.
Hadith 9470
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبَانَ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ , عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " إِذَا زَنَتْ خَادِمُ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَجْلِدْهَا وَلَا يُعَيِّرْهَا , فَإِنْ عَادَتْ الثَّانِيَةَ فَلْيَجْلِدْهَا وَلَا يُعَيِّرْهَا ، فَإِنْ عَادَتْ الثَّالِثَةَ فَلْيَجْلِدْهَا وَلَا يُعَيِّرْهَا ، فَإِنْ عَادَتْ الرَّابِعَةَ فَلْيَجْلِدْهَا ، وَلْيَبِعْهَا بِحَبْلٍ مِنْ شَعَرٍ , أَوْ بِضَفِيرٍ مِنْ شَعَرٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If any of you has a slave-girl who commits adultery and her crime is proven, then give her the punishment of lashes but do not disgrace her. Then, if she commits the same sin a third or fourth time, he said: Sell her, even if her fate is only a rope made of hair.
Hadith 9471
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأُمَوِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ الْإِسْلَامَ لَيَأْرِزُ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ ، كَمَا تَأْرِزُ الْحَيَّةُ إِلَى جُحْرِهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Near the Day of Judgment, faith will withdraw to Madinah just as a snake withdraws into its hole.
Hadith 9472
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأُمَوِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " صُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ ، وَأَفْطِرُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ ، فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ الشَّهْرُ ، فَأَكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ ثَلَاثِينَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Begin fasting upon sighting the moon, and celebrate Eid upon sighting the moon. If the moon is not visible and the sky is cloudy, then complete the count of thirty days."
