It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever Allah has granted sixty years of life, Allah has left no excuse for him regarding his age."

The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not answer him, until the questioner repeated the question two or three times. At that time, Hazrat Salman Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him) was also among us. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his hand on Hazrat Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "If faith were near the Pleiades, some men from his people would attain it from there."

A person should take a rope, go to the mountain, cut wood, carry it on his back, sell it, and eat from what he earns or give it in charity; this is much better than going to people and asking from them, whether they give him something or not, it is up to them.

When he would leave the house, the doors of his house would be closed, and until his return, no one could go to his family. One day, as usual, he left his house and the doors were closed. His wife looked into the house and saw a man standing in the middle of the house. She asked the people present in the house, "The door of the house is closed, how did this man enter the house? By Allah! You will embarrass Dawood in front of him." After a short while, Hazrat Dawood (peace be upon him) returned and saw a man standing right in the middle of the house. He asked him, "Who are you?" He replied, "I am the one who does not fear kings, and nothing can stop me." Hazrat Dawood (peace be upon him) said, "By Allah! You are the Angel of Death. Welcome to the command of Allah," and he lay down on the ground, where his soul was taken, and the angel completed his task. When the sun rose, Hazrat Sulaiman (peace be upon him) ordered the birds to provide shade over Hazrat Dawood (peace be upon him), so the birds gave him shade. Then, when darkness spread over the earth, Hazrat Sulaiman (peace be upon him) told the birds, "Fold your wings one by one." Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) demonstrated the state of the birds to us practically and closed his hand. On that day, the hawk with long wings prevailed.
