Hadith 8358
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجُعْفِيُّ ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْتَشِرِ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحِمْيَرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : أَتَى رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَيُّ الصَّلَاةِ أَفْضَلُ بَعْدَ الْمَكْتُوبَةِ ؟ قَالَ : " الصَّلَاةُ فِي جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ " ، قَالَ : فَأَيُّ الصِّيَامِ أَفْضَلُ بَعْدَ رَمَضَانَ ؟ قَالَ : " شَهْرُ اللَّهِ الَّذِي تَدْعُونَهُ الْمُحَرَّمَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once someone asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "Which prayer is the most virtuous after the obligatory prayers?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "The prayer performed in the middle part of the night." The questioner then asked, "After the fast of the month of Ramadan, which day's fast is the most virtuous?" He replied, "The month of Allah which you call Muharram (its fasts are the most virtuous)."
Hadith 8359
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " مَنْ حَمَلَ السِّلَاحَ عَلَيْنَا فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever raises a weapon against us is not from among us.
Hadith 8360
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : " إِنَّ أَحَبَّ عِبَادِي إِلَيَّ ، أَعْجَلُهُمْ فِطْرًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty has said, "The most beloved of My servants to Me is the one who hastens to break the fast after the time of iftar has arrived."
Hadith 8361
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رِفَاعَةَ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ أَكْثَرَ مَا يَصُومُ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسَ ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ الْأَعْمَالَ تُعْرَضُ كُلَّ اثْنَيْنِ وَخَمِيسٍ أَوْ كُلَّ يَوْمِ اثْنَيْنِ وَخَمِيسٍ ، فَيَغْفِرُ اللَّهُ عزَّّ وجلَّ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ أَوْ لِكُلِّ مُؤْمِنٍ إِلَّا الْمُتَهَاجِرَيْنِ ، فَيَقُولُ : أَخِّرْهُمَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would often fast on Mondays and Thursdays. Someone asked about the reason for this, so the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On every Monday and Thursday, deeds are presented (to Allah), and Allah forgives every Muslim except for two people between whom there is mutual enmity and conflict. Allah says: 'Leave both of them until they reconcile with each other.'"
Hadith 8362
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ فَرُّوخَ الضَّمْرِيُّ ، مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : أَشْهَدُ لَسَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , يَقُولُ : " مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ أَوْ أَمَةٍ يَحْلِفُ عِنْدَ هَذَا الْمِنْبَرِ عَلَى يَمِينٍ آثِمَةٍ ، وَلَوْ عَلَى سِوَاكٍ رَطْبٍ ، إِلَّا وَجَبَتْ لَهُ النَّارُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I bear witness that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever, man or woman, swears a false oath near this pulpit, even if it is regarding a fresh miswak, Hell has become obligatory for him.
Hadith 8363
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عِمْرَانُ بْنُ أَبِي أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَفْرَكُ مُؤْمِنٌ مُؤْمِنَةً ، إِنْ كَرِهَ مِنْهَا خُلُقًا ، رَضِيَ مِنْهَا آخَرَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No Muslim man should hate a Muslim woman, for if he dislikes one of her habits, he may like another.
Hadith 8364
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَذْهَبُ اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمَوَالِي يُقَالُ لَهُ : جَهْجَاهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The cycle of day and night will not end until a man named Jahjah from among the Mawali becomes a ruler.
Hadith 8365
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، حَدَّثَنِي بُكَيْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ : أَنَّ صِكَاكَ التُّجَّارِ خَرَجَتْ ، فَاسْتَأْذَنَ التُّجَّارُ مَرْوَانَ فِي بَيْعِهَا ، فَأَذِنَ لَهُمْ ، فَدَخَلَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ عَلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : أَذِنْتَ فِي بَيْعِ الرِّبَا ، وَقَدْ " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُشْتَرَى الطَّعَامُ ثُمَّ يُبَاعَ حَتَّى يُسْتَوْفَى " ، قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ : فَرَأَيْتُ مَرْوَانَ بَعَثَ الْحَرَسَ فَجَعَلُوا يَنْتَزِعُونَ الصِّكَاكَ مِنْ أَيْدِي مَنْ لَا يَتَحَرَّجُ مِنْهُمْ .
Sulaiman bin Yasar (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once the use of checks became common among traders. The traders asked Marwan for permission to buy and sell through them, and he granted them permission. When Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) found out, he went to him and said, "You have permitted usurious trade, whereas the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the sale of grain before taking possession of it?" Sulaiman says that then I saw Marwan sent a group of guards who began to snatch checks from the hands of those who did not resist.
Hadith 8366
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَا رَأَيْتُ رَجُلًا أَشْبَهَ صَلَاةً بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ فُلَانٍ ، لِإِمَامٍ كَانَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ " ، قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ : فَصَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَهُ ، فَكَانَ يُطِيلُ الْأُولَيَيْنِ مِنَ الظُّهْرِ ، وَيُخَفِّفُ الْأُخْرَيَيْنِ ، وَيُخَفِّفُ الْعَصْرَ ، وَيَقْرَأُ فِي الْأُولَيَيْنِ مِنَ الْمَغْرِبِ بِقِصَارِ الْمُفَصَّلِ ، وَيَقْرَأُ فِي الْأُولَيَيْنِ مِنَ الْعِشَاءِ مِنْ وَسَطِ الْمُفَصَّلِ ، وَيَقْرَأُ فِي الْغَدَاةِ بِطُوَالِ الْمُفَصَّل ، قَالَ الضَّحَّاكُ : وَحَدَّثَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ، يَقُولُ : " مَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا أَشْبَهَ صَلَاةً بِصَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ هَذَا الْفَتَى " ، يَعْنِي عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، قَالَ الضَّحَّاكُ : فَصَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، وَكَانَ يَصْنَعُ مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that I have not prayed behind anyone after the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) whose prayer resembled the Prophet’s prayer more, except for such-and-such person. The narrator says that in the Zuhr prayer, he would make the first two rak‘ahs relatively long and the last two rak‘ahs short. He would perform the ‘Asr prayer lightly, recite from the short Mufassal surahs in Maghrib, from the medium Mufassal surahs in ‘Isha, and from the long Mufassal surahs in the Fajr prayer.
Hadith 8367
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ أَبِي مُزَرِّدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي سَعِيدٌ أَبُو الْحُبَابِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَمَّا خَلَقَ الْخَلْقَ ، قَامَتْ الرَّحِمُ فَأَخَذَتْ بِحَقْوِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَتْ : هَذَا مَقَامُ الْعَائِذِ مِنَ الْقَطِيعَةِ . قَالَ : أَمَا تَرْضَيْ أَنْ أَصِلَ مَنْ وَصَلَكِ ، وَأَقْطَعَ مَنْ قَطَعَكِ ؟ اقْرَءُوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ : فَهَلْ عَسَيْتُمْ إِنْ تَوَلَّيْتُمْ أَنْ تُفْسِدُوا فِي الأَرْضِ وَتُقَطِّعُوا أَرْحَامَكُمْ أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ فَأَصَمَّهُمْ وَأَعْمَى أَبْصَارَهُمْ أَفَلا يَتَدَبَّرُونَ الْقُرْآنَ أَمْ عَلَى قُلُوبٍ أَقْفَالُهَا سورة محمد آية 22 - 24 .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When Allah created the creation, the womb (rahm) stood up and held onto the leg of the Throne of the Most Merciful and said, "This is the place of one who seeks refuge from severing ties." Allah said, "Are you not pleased that I will join with the one who joins you, and I will sever from the one who severs you?" If you wish, you may recite this verse for its confirmation: "Would you then, if you were given authority, spread corruption in the land and sever your ties of kinship? Those are the ones whom Allah has cursed, so He made them deaf and blinded their sight. Do they not then reflect on the Qur'an, or are there locks upon their hearts?"
Hadith 8368
حََّدثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ ، قَال : ثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ تَمِيمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَمَحْلُوفُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ، مَا أَتَى عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ شَهْرٌ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ ، وَلَا أَتَى عَلَى الْمُنَافِقِينَ شَهْرٌ شَرٌّ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ ، وَذَلِكَ لِمَا يُعِدُّ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ فِيهِ مِنَ الْقُوَّةِ لِلْعِبَادَةِ ، وَمَا يُعِدُّ فِيهِ الْمُنَافِقُونَ مِنْ غَفَلَاتِ النَّاسِ وَعَوْرَاتِهِمْ ، هُوَ غَنْمٌ وَالْمُؤْمِنُ يَغْتَنِمُهُ الْفَاجِرُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that no month casts a better shade over a Muslim than the month of Ramadan, and no month is harder upon the hypocrites than Ramadan. The reason for this is that Muslims gather strength for worship in this month, while the hypocrites seek out people's heedlessness and faults.
Hadith 8369
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا كَانَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ جَاءَهُ الشَّيْطَانُ ، فَأَبَسَ بِهِ كَمَا يَأْبِسُ الرَّجُلُ بِدَابَّتِهِ ، فَإِذَا سَكَنَ لَهُ أَضْرَطَ بَيْنَ أَلْيَتَيْهِ لِيَفْتِنَهُ عَنْ صَلَاتِهِ ، فَإِذَا وَجَدَ أَحَدُكُمْ شَيْئًا مِنْ ذَلِكَ ، فَلَا يَنْصَرِفْ حَتَّى يَسْمَعَ صَوْتًا أَوْ يَجِدَ رِيحًا لَا يُشَكُّ فِيهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you is in prayer, Satan comes to him and entices him just as a person entices his animal. When he gains control over him, he releases wind between his buttocks so as to mislead him from the prayer. Therefore, if any one of you experiences such a condition, he should not leave the prayer unless he hears a sound or perceives a smell.
Hadith 8370
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا كَانَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ جَاءَهُ الشَّيْطَانُ فَأَبَسَ بِهِ كَمَا يَأْبِسُ الرَّجُلُ بِدَابَّتِهِ ، فَإِذَا سَكَنَ لَهُ زَنَقَهُ أَوْ أَلْجَمَهُ " ، قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : فَأَنْتُمْ تَرَوْنَ ذَلِكَ ، أَمَّا الْمَزْنُوقُ فَتَرَاهُ مَائِلًا كَذَا ، لَا يَذْكُرُ اللَّهَ ، وَأَمَّا الْمَلْجُومُ فَفَاتِحٌ فَاهُ لَا يَذْكُرُ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you is in prayer, Satan comes to him and flatters him as a person flatters his animal. When he gains control over him, he binds his jaw or puts a bridle in his mouth. Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) says: That is why you will see the first man swaying here and there and not remembering Allah, and you will see another man whose mouth is open and he is not remembering Allah.
Hadith 8371
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي سَرْحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ فَخَطَبَ النَّاسَ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ أَنَّ الْإِيمَانَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْجِهَادَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَفْضَلِ الْأَعْمَالِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ، فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنْ قُتِلْتُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَأَنَا صَابِرٌ مُحْتَسِبٌ ، مُقْبِلٌ غَيْرُ مُدْبِرٍ ، يُكَفِّرُ اللَّهُ عَنِّي خَطَايَايَ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ ، فَكَيْفَ قُلْتَ ؟ " قَالَ : إِنْ قُتِلْتُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَأَنَا صَابِرٌ مُحْتَسِبٌ ، مُقْبِلٌ غَيْرُ مُدْبِرٍ ، يُكَفِّرُ اللَّهُ عَنِّي خَطَايَايَ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ ، كَيْفَ قُلْتَ ؟ " قَالَ : إِنْ قُتِلْتُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَأَنَا صَابِرٌ مُحْتَسِبٌ ، مُقْبِلٌ غَيْرَ مُدْبِر ، يُكَفِّرُ اللَّهُ عَنِّي خَطَايَايَ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ ، إِلَّا الدَّيْنَ ، فَإِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ سَارَّنِي بِذَلِكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood to deliver a sermon before the people. In it, he (peace be upon him) declared faith in Allah and striving in the path of Allah (jihad fi sabilillah) to be among the most virtuous deeds in the sight of Allah. A man stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), tell me, if I am martyred in the path of Allah, I remain steadfast in my religion, I participate in jihad with the intention of reward, I keep advancing and do not turn my back, will Allah forgive my sins?" The Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "Yes." He asked the same question three times, and the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) gave the same answer each time. The last time, the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Except for debt, for this has just now been revealed to me in my ear by Hazrat Jibreel (peace be upon him)."
Hadith 8372
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لِلْعَبْدِ الْمُصْلِحِ الْمَمْلُوكِ أَجْرَانِ " ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ بِيَدِهِ ، لَوْلَا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، وَالْحَجُّ ، وَبِرُّ أُمِّي ، لَأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ أَمُوتَ وَأَنَا مَمْلُوكٌ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A righteous slave receives a double reward. By Him in Whose hand is the life of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), if it were not for striving in the way of Allah, Hajj to the House of Allah, and service to my mother, I would have preferred to die in the state of slavery.
Hadith 8373
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقَرَّاظُ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سَعْدَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ، وَأَبَا هُرَيْرَة ، يَقُولَانِ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ فِي مَدِينَتِهِمْ ، وَبَارِكْ لَهُمْ فِي صَاعِهِمْ ، وَبَارِكْ لَهُمْ فِي مُدِّهِمْ ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَبْدُكَ وَخَلِيلُكَ ، وَإِنِّي عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُولُكَ ، وَإِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ سَأَلَكَ لِأَهْلِ مَكَّةَ ، وَإِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ، كَمَا سَأَلَكَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ لِأَهْلِ مَكَّةَ ، وَمِثْلَهُ مَعَهُ ، إِنَّ الْمَدِينَةَ مُشْتَبِكَةٌ بِالْمَلَائِكَةِ ، عَلَى كُلِّ نَقْبٍ مِنْهَا مَلَكَانِ يَحْرُسَانِهَا ، لَا يَدْخُلُهَا الطَّاعُونُ وَلَا الدَّجَّالُ ، فَمَنْ أَرَادَهَا بِسُوءٍ أَذَابَهُ اللَّهُ كَمَا يَذُوبُ الْمِلْحُ فِي الْمَاءِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once supplicated, saying: O Allah! Bless the people of Madinah in their Madinah, and grant blessing in their Sa’ and Mudd. O Allah! Ibrahim was Your servant and friend, and I am Your servant and Messenger. Ibrahim supplicated to You for the people of Makkah; I am supplicating to You for the people of Madinah with the same supplication as Ibrahim made for the people of Makkah, and even more than that. Then he said: Madinah is surrounded by the nets of angels; at every entrance there are two angels appointed for its protection. Neither plague nor Dajjal can enter it. Whoever intends evil against it, Allah will melt him as salt melts in water.
Hadith 8374
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ يَعْنِي الرَّازِيَّ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ أَحَدُنَا مُخْتَصِرًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us from placing hands on the waist during prayer.
Hadith 8375
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " لَأَنْ يَمْتَلِئَ جَوْفُ أَحَدِكُمْ قَيْحًا ، خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَمْتَلِئَ شِعْرًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is much better for a man's stomach to be filled with pus until he is satisfied than for it to be filled with poetry.
Hadith 8376
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ يَعْنِي الْمُؤَدِّبَ ، وَاسْمُهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْوَضَّاحِ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْمُؤَدِّبِ ، وَرَوَى عَنْهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ ، وَأَبُو كَامِلٍ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَأْتِي أَحَدَكُمْ فَيَقُولُ : مَنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاءَ ؟ فَيَقُولُ : اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، فَيَقُول : مَنْ خَلَقَ الْأَرْضَ ؟ فَيَقُولُ : اللَّهُ ، فَيَقُولُ : مَنْ خَلَقَ اللَّهَ ؟ فَإِذَا أَحَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ هَذَا فَلْيَقُلْ : آمَنْتُ بِاللَّهِ وَبِرُسُلِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Satan comes to one of you and asks, "Who created the sky?" He replies, "Allah did." Then he asks, "Who created the earth?" He says, "Allah did." Then he asks, "Who created Allah?" When any of you experiences such thoughts, he should say: "Aamantu billahi wa birusulih" (I believe in Allah and His messengers).
Hadith 8377
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَقِيلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَيَّانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحِبُّ الذِّرَاعَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) liked the meat of the foreleg.
Hadith 8378
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَقِيلٍ اسْمُهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَقِيلٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثِقَةٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَمِينُكَ مَا يُصَدِّقُكَ بِهِ صَاحِبُكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The meaning of your oath that will be considered valid is the one which your companion (the one demanding the oath) also confirms.
Hadith 8379
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَرْقَاءُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْيَشْكُرِيُّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ دِينَارٍ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَار ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ الْإِقَامَةِ إِلَّا الْمَكْتُوبَةَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: After the iqamah has been called, there is no prayer except the obligatory prayer of that time.
Hadith 8380
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَرْقَاءُ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سُوقٍ مِنْ أَسْوَاقِ الْمَدِينَةِ ، فَانْصَرَفَ وَانْصَرَفْتُ مَعَهُ ، فَجَاءَ إِلَى فِنَاءِ فَاطِمَةَ فَنَادَى الْحَسَنَ ، فَقَالَ : " أَيْ لُكَعُ ، أَيْ لُكَعُ ، أَيْ لُكَعُ " قَالَهُ : ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ، فَلَمْ يُجِبْهُ أَحَدٌ ، قَالَ : فَانْصَرَفَ ، وَانْصَرَفْتُ مَعَهُ ، فَجَاءَ إِلَى فِنَاءِ عَائِشَةَ ، فَقَعَدَ ، قَالَ : فَجَاءَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : ظَنَنْتُ أَنَّ أُمَّهُ حَبَسَتْهُ لِتَجْعَلَ فِي عُنُقِهِ السِّخَابَ ، فَلَمَّا جَاءَ الْتَزَمَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَالْتَزَمَ هُوَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُحِبُّهُ ، فَأَحِبَّهُ ، وَأَحِبَّ مَنْ يُحِبُّهُ " ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was with the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in a market of Madinah Munawwarah. When the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned, I also came back with him. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reached the courtyard of Hazrat Fatimah’s (may Allah be pleased with her) house and began calling Hazrat Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him), “O child, O child,” but no one replied. Upon this, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned from there and I also came back. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came and sat in the courtyard of Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). Meanwhile, Hazrat Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) also arrived. Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) says, “I think his mother had kept him back to put a necklace of cloves or something similar around his neck.” As soon as he came, he clung to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also embraced him. Then, three times, he said, “O Allah, I love him, so You also love him, and love those who love him.”
Hadith 8381
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ، وَحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى , قَالَا : ثَنَا وَرْقَاءُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ تَصَدَّقَ بِعَدْلِ تَمْرَةٍ مِنْ كَسْبٍ طَيِّبٍ ، وَلَا يَصْعَدُ إِلَى اللَّهِ إِلَّا الطَّيِّبُ ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يَقْبَلُهَا بِيَمِينِهِ ، ثُمَّ يُرَبِّيهَا لِصَاحِبِهَا كَمَا يُرَبِّي أَحَدُكُمْ فَلُوَّهُ ، حَتَّى تَكُونَ مِثْلَ الْجَبَلِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a servant gives charity from lawful wealth, even if it is a single date, Allah accepts it and takes it in His right hand, and only lawful things ascend to Allah. Just as one of you raises and nurtures his young goat, in the same way Allah nurtures and increases that charity, until it becomes as large as a mountain in the hand of Allah.
Hadith 8382
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ أَقْوَامٌ أَفْئِدَتُهُمْ مِثْلُ أَفْئِدَةِ الطَّيْرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There will enter Paradise such people whose hearts will be like the hearts of birds."
Hadith 8383
حَدَّثَنَاه يَعْقُوبُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ : وَهُوَ الصَّوَابُ ، يَعْنِي لَمْ يَذْكُرْ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ : " يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ أَقْوَامٌ أَفْئِدَتُهُمْ مِثْلُ أَفْئِدَةِ الطَّيْرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There will enter Paradise such people whose hearts will be like the hearts of birds."
Hadith 8384
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِثَلَاثٍ : " بِنَوْمٍ عَلَى وِتْرٍ ، وَالْغُسْلِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، وَصَوْمِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) advised me regarding three things (which I will not leave until my death): (1) to perform Witr prayer before sleeping, (2) to take a bath on Friday, (3) to fast three days in every month.
Hadith 8385
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُرِيدُ سَفَرًا لِيُوَدِّعَهُ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " : أُوصِيكَ بِتَقْوَى اللَّهِ ، وَالتَّكْبِيرِ عَلَى كُلِّ شَرَف " , فَلَمَّا وَلَّى قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ اطْوِ لَهُ الْبَعِيدَ ، وَهَوِّنْ عَلَيْهِ السَّفَرَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He was about to set out on a journey and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), give me some advice." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I advise you to fear Allah and to proclaim the takbeer (Allahu Akbar) on every elevation." When that man turned to leave, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O Allah, fold the earth for him and make his journey easy."
Hadith 8386
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ : كَيْفَ أَنْتُمْ إِذَا لَمْ تَجْتَبُوا دِينَارًا وَلَا دِرْهَمًا ؟ فَقِيلَ لَهُ : وَهَلْ تَرَى ذَلِكَ كَائِنًا يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ؟ فَقَالَ : وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ بِيَدِهِ ، عَنْ قَوْلِ الصَّادِقِ الْمَصْدُوقِ ، قَالُوا : وَعَمَّ ذَاكَ ؟ قَالَ : " تُنْتَهَكُ ذِمَّةُ اللَّهِ وَذِمَّةُ رَسُولِهِ ، فَيَشُدُّ اللَّهُ عزّ وجَّل قُلُوبَ أَهْلِ الذِّمَّةِ ، فَيَمْنَعُونَ مَا بِأَيْدِيهِم " وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ بِيَدِهِ ، لَيَكُونَنَّ مَرَّتَيْنِ .
Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say: "What will be your condition when you will not be able to collect the tax of dinar and dirham?" Someone asked, "O Abu Huraira! Do you think this will also happen?" He replied, "Yes, by Him in Whose hand is the life of Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has foretold this." People asked, "How will this happen?" He said, "The covenant of Allah and His Messenger will be broken, then Allah will harden the hearts of the dhimmis and they will withhold their wealth and riches. By Him in Whose hand is the life of Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), this will surely happen." (He said this sentence twice.)
Hadith 8387
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ شَاذَانُ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " كَانَ رَجُلٌ يُدَايِنُ النَّاسَ ، وَكَانَ يَقُولُ لِفَتَاهُ : إِذَا أَتَيْتَ مُعْسِرًا ، فَتَجَاوَزْ عَنْهُ ، لَعَلَّ اللَّهَ يَتَجَاوَزُ عَنَّا ، فَلَقِيَ اللَّهَ فَتَجَاوَزَ عَنْهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In earlier times there was a man who used to lend money to people, and he would say to his servant, "When you go to collect a debt from someone in difficulty, show leniency to him; perhaps Allah will show leniency to us." So (after his death) when he met Allah, Allah showed leniency to him (forgave him).
Hadith 8388
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَحْسِرُ الْفُرَاتُ عَنْ جَبَل ِمنْ ذَهَب ، أَوْ لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَحْسِرَ الْفُرَاتُ عَنْ جَبَلٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ، فَيَقْتَتِلَ عَلَيْهِ النَّاسُ فَيُقْتَلَ مِنْ كُلِّ مِائَةٍ تِسْعَةٌ وَتِسْعُونَ " يَا بُنَيَّ ، فَإِنْ أَدْرَكْتَهُ ، فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِمَّنْ يُقَاتِلُ عَلَيْهِ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Near the Day of Judgment, the water of the Euphrates River will recede, uncovering a mountain of gold from beneath it. People will begin to fight over it, to the extent that out of every hundred, ninety-nine will be killed. My son, if you reach that time, do not be among those who fight over it.
Hadith 8389
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةَ الْمَهْرِيُّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : يَا مَهْرِيُّ ، " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ ثَمَنِ الْكَلْبِ ، وَكَسْبِ الْحَجَّامِ ، وَكَسْبِ الْمُومِسَةِ ، وَعَنْ كَسْبِ عَسْبِ الْفَحْلِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the earnings of the cupper, the earnings of prostitution, the price of a dog, and the fee given for the mating of a bull.
Hadith 8390
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أُنْزِلَ الْقُرْآنُ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَحْرُفٍ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا ، غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Qur'an was revealed upon seven letters, for example: All-Knowing, Wise, Forgiving, Merciful.
Hadith 8391
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ الْكَرِيمَ ابْنَ الْكَرِيمِ ابْنِ الْكَرِيمِ ابْنِ الْكَرِيمِ ، يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ بَنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The noble son of the noble son of the noble is Hazrat Yusuf, son of Yaqub, son of Ibrahim, the Friend of Allah (peace be upon them).
Hadith 8392
وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْ لَبِثْتُ فِي السِّجْنِ مَا لَبِثَ يُوسُفُ ، ثُمَّ جَاءَنِي الدَّاعِي ، لَأَجَبْتُهُ ، إِذْ جَاءَهُ الرَّسُولُ ، فَقَالَ : ارْجِعْ إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَاسْأَلْهُ : مَا بَالُ النِّسْوَةِ اللَّاتِي قَطَّعْنَ أَيْدِيَهُنَّ ، إِنَّ رَبِّي بِكَيْدِهِنَّ عَلِيمٌ . وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى لُوطٍ ، إِنْ كَانَ لَيَأْوِي إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ ، إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ : لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً ، أَوْ آوِي إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ ، وَمَا بَعَثَ اللَّهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا فِي ثَرْوَةٍ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ " .
And he said that if I had remained in prison for as long as Prophet Yusuf (peace be upon him) had, and then I was offered release, I would have accepted it at that very moment. When the messenger reached him, he said, "Go to your master and ask him what was the matter with those women who cut their hands. My Lord is well aware of their cunning." And may Allah's mercy descend upon Prophet Lut (peace be upon him); he was seeking the support of a strong pillar when he said to his people, "If only I had the strength to oppose you, or could take refuge in a strong pillar." After them, whichever prophet Allah sent, He made him from among the wealthy people of his nation.
Hadith 8393
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُحِبُّ الْفَأْلَ الْحَسَنَ ، وَيَكْرَهُ الطِّيَرَةَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) liked good omens and disliked bad omens.
Hadith 8394
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ ، وَلَعَلَّ بَعْضَكُمْ أَنْ يَكُونَ أَلْحَنَ بِحُجَّتِهِ مِنْ بَعْضٍ ، فَمَنْ قَطَعْتُ لَهُ مِنْ حَقِّ أَخِيهِ قِطْعَةً ، فَإِنَّمَا أَقْطَعُ لَهُ قِطْعَةً مِنَ النَّارِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I am also a human being like you. It is possible that some of you are more eloquent than others. Therefore, if I, being influenced by someone's eloquence, give him a portion of his brother's right, then he should understand that I am giving him a piece of Hell.
Hadith 8395
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : دَخَلَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ له رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " هَلْ أَخَذَتْكَ أُمُّ مِلْدَمٍ قَطُّ ؟ " قَالَ : وَمَا أُمُّ مِلْدَمٍ ؟ قَالَ : " حَرٌّ يَكُونُ بَيْنَ الْجِلْدِ وَاللَّحْمِ " قَالَ : مَا وَجَدْتُ هَذَا قَطُّ ، قَالَ : " فَهَلْ أَخَذَكَ هَذَا الصُّدَاعُ قَطُّ ؟ " قَالَ : وَمَا هَذَا الصُّدَاعُ ؟ قَالَ : " عِروْقٌ تَضْرِبُ عَلَى الْإِنْسَانِ فِي رَأْسِهِ " قَالَ : مَا وَجَدْتُ هَذَا قَطُّ ، قال : فَلَمَّا وَلَّى قَالَ : " مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ، فَلْيَنْظُرْ إِلَى هَذَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Bedouin came to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him, "Has Umm Mildam ever seized you?" He said, "What is Umm Mildam?" The Prophet replied, "It is the heat between the flesh and the body." He said, "I have never felt this in my body." Then the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Has Suda’ ever afflicted you?" He asked, "What is meant by Suda’?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "It is the veins that run in a person's head (and because of them, there is pain in the head)." He said, "I have never felt this pain in my body." When he left, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Whoever wants to see a person of Hell, he should look at this man."
Hadith 8396
وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ ، وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " افْتَرَقَتْ الْيَهُودُ عَلَى إِحْدَى أَوْ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَسَبْعِينَ فِرْقَةً ، وَتَفْتَرِقُ أُمَّتِي عَلَى ثَلَاثٍ وَسَبْعِينَ فِرْقَةً " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Jews were divided into seventy-one or seventy-two sects, and my Ummah will be divided into seventy-three sects.
Hadith 8397
وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ ، وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " خَمْسٌ مِنْ حَقِّ الْمُسْلِمِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ رَدُّ التَّحِيَّةِ ، وَإِجَابَةُ الدَّعْوَةِ ، وَشُهُودُ الْجِنَازَةِ ، وَعِيَادَةُ الْمَرِيضِ ، وَتَشْمِيتُ الْعَاطِسِ إِذَا حَمِدَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A Muslim has five rights over another Muslim: to return the greeting of Salam, to accept an invitation, to participate in the funeral, to visit the sick, and to respond to a sneeze when the one who sneezes says "Alhamdulillah."
