Hadith 8279
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَفْصٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا وَرْقَاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَغْفِرُ اللَّهُ لِلُوطٍ ، إِنَّهُ أَوَى إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: May Allah forgive Hazrat Lut (peace be upon him); he was seeking refuge with a strong pillar.
Hadith 8280
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَفْصٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا وَرْقَاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " بَيْنَمَا امْرَأَتَانِ مَعَهُمَا ابْنَانِ لَهُمَا ، جَاءَ الذِّئْبُ فَأَخَذَ أَحَدَ الِابْنَيْنِ ، فَتَحَاكَمَا إِلَى دَاوُدَ ، فَقَضَى بِهِ لِلْكُبْرَى ، فَخَرَجَتَا فَدَعَاهُمَا سُلَيْمَانُ ، فَقَالَ : هَاتُوا السِّكِّينَ أَشُقُّهُ بَيْنَهُمَا ، فَقَالَتْ الصُّغْرَى : يَرْحَمُكَ اللَّهُ ، هُوَ ابْنُهَا ، لَا تَشُقَّهُ ، فَقَضَى بِهِ لِلصُّغْرَى " ، قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : وَاللَّهِ إِنْ عَلِمْنَا مَا السِّكِّينُ إِلَّا يَوْمَئِذٍ ، وَمَا كُنَّا نَقُولُ إِلَّا الْمُدْيَةَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There were two women, and with them were their two sons. Suddenly, a wolf came from somewhere and took away one of the boys. Both of them brought their case before Hazrat Dawood (peace be upon him). He decided that the remaining child belonged to the elder woman. As they were leaving, Hazrat Sulaiman (peace be upon him) called them and said, "Bring a knife, I will divide this child into two parts and give them to you." Upon hearing this, the younger woman said, "May Allah have mercy on you, he is her child (at least he will remain alive); do not divide him into two parts." Thus, Hazrat Sulaiman (peace be upon him) decided in favor of the younger woman. Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: By Allah, the word "sikkeen" for knife in Arabic came to our knowledge that day; before that, we used to call it "madiyah."
Hadith 8281
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَفْصٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا وَرْقَاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اخْتَتَنَ إِبْرَاهِيَمُ خَلِيلُ الرَّحْمَنِ بَعْدَمَا أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ ثَمَانُونَ سَنَةً ، وَاخْتَتَنَ بِالْقَدُومِ " مُخَفَّفَةً .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Hazrat Ibrahim Khalilullah performed his circumcision at the age of eighty years. The place where he performed the circumcision was called Qadoom.
Hadith 8282
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَفْصٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا وَرْقَاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَالَ رَجُلٌ : لَأَتَصَدَّقَنَّ اللَّيْلَةَ بصَدَقَةً ، فَأَخْرَجَ صَدَقَتَهُ ، فَوَضَعَهَا فِي يَدِ زَانِيَةٍ ، فَأَصْبَحُوا يَتَحَدَّثُونَ : تُصُدِّقَ اللَّيْلَةَ عَلَى زَانِيَةٍ ، ثم َقَالَ : لَأَتَصَدَّقَنَّ اللَّيْلَةَ بِصَدَقَةٍ ، فَأَخْرَجَ صَدَقَتَهُ ، فَوَضَعَهَا فِي يَدِ سَارِق ، فَأَصْبَحُوا يَتَحَدَّثُونَ : تُصُدِّقَ اللَّيْلَةَ عَلَى سَارِقٍ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : لَأَتَصَدَّقَنَّ اللَّيْلَةَ بِصَدَقَةٍ ، فَأَخْرَجَ الصَّدَقَةَ ، فَوَضَعَهَا فِي يَدِ غَنِي ، فَأَصْبَحُوا يَتَحَدَّثُونَ : تُصُدِّقَ اللَّيْلَةَ عَلَى غَنِيٍّ ، فَقَالَ : الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ، عَلَى سَارِقٍ ، وَعَلَى زَانِيَةٍ ، وَعَلَى غَنِيٍّ ، قَالَ : فَأُتِيَ فَقِيلَ لَهُ : أَمَّا صَدَقَتُكَ فَقَدْ تُقُبِّلَتْ ، أَمَّا الزَّانِيَةُ ، فَلَعَلَّهَا يَعْنِي أَنْ تَسْتَعِفَّ بِهِ ، وَأَمَّا السَّارِقُ ، فَلَعَلَّهُ أَنْ يَسْتَغْنِيَ بِهِ ، وَأَمَّا الْغَنِيُّ ، فَلَعَلَّهُ أَنْ يَعْتَبِرَ فَيُنْفِقَ مِمَّا آتَاهُ اللَّهُ " .
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A man said, "Tonight I will give charity." So he went out with his charity and unknowingly gave it into the hands of an adulteress. In the morning, people began to talk that last night an adulteress received charity. The man said, "Tonight I will give charity again." So on the second night, he went out with his charity and placed it in the hands of a thief. In the morning, people began to talk that last night a thief received charity. The man said, "Tonight I will give charity again." So (on the third night) he went out with his charity and unknowingly gave it to a wealthy person. In the morning, people began to talk that last night a rich man received charity. The man said, "O Allah, I thank You that You made my charity reach an adulteress, a thief, and a wealthy person." (Through a voice) it was said to him: "Your charity has been accepted. The charity you gave to the thief may cause him to refrain from stealing, and the charity you gave to the adulteress may cause her to give up adultery. As for the wealthy person, perhaps he will take heed from it and spend from the wealth Allah has given him in the way of Allah."
Hadith 8283
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَفْصٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا وَرْقَاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَاد ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرةَ ، قَال : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كُلُّ ابْنِ آدَمَ تَأْكُلُهُ الْأَرْضُ ، إِلَّا عَجْبَ الذَّنَبِ ، فَإِنَّهُ مِنْهُ خُلِقَ ، وَمِنْهُ يُرَكَّبُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The earth will consume the entire body of the son of Adam except for the coccyx (tailbone), for from it man will be created and from it his composition will be made.
Hadith 8284
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَفْصٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا وَرْقَاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : بَعَث رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عُمَرَ عَلَى الصَّدَقَةِ ، فَقِيلَ مَنَعَ ابْنُ جَمِيلٍ ، وَخَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، وَالْعَبَّاسُ عَمُّ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِي صلى الله عليه وسلم : " مَا ينَقَمَ ابْنُ جَمِيلٍ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ أَنْ كَانَ فَقِيرًا فَأَغْنَاهُ اللَّهُ ، وَأَمَّا خَالِدٌ ، فَإِنَّكُمْ تَظْلِمُونَ خَالِدًا ، فَقَدْ احْتَبَسَ أَدْرَاعَهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، وَأَمَّا الْعَبَّاسُ ، فَهِيَ عَلَيَّ وَمِثْلُهَا " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ " أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ عَمَّ الرَّجُلِ صِنْوُ أَبِيهِ ؟ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once sent Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) to collect Zakat. Someone submitted in the presence of the Prophet that Ibn Jameel, Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed (may Allah be pleased with him), and the Prophet’s uncle Hazrat Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) have not paid Zakat. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “What displeases Ibn Jameel is this very thing—that he was once needy, then Allah granted him wealth (and now he does not pay Zakat). As for Khalid, you are wronging him, for he has dedicated even his armors in the path of Allah. As for Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), he is my responsibility.” Then he said: “Do you not know that a man’s uncle is in the position of his father?”
Hadith 8285
حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الضَّبِّيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِثْلَهُ .
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 8286
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِر ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَال : " مَا مِنْ خَارِجٍ يَخْرُجُ يَعْنِي مِنْ بَيْتِهِ إِلَّا بِيَدِهِ رَايَتَان رَايَةٌ بِيَدِ مَلَكٍ ، وَرَايَةٌ بِيَدِ شَيْطَانٍ ، فَإِنْ خَرَجَ لِمَا يُحِبُّ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، اتَّبَعَهُ الْمَلَكُ بِرَايَتِهِ ، فَلَمْ يَزَلْ تَحْتَ رَايَةِ الْمَلَكِ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ ، وَإِنْ خَرَجَ لِمَا يُسْخِطُ اللَّهَ ، اتَّبَعَهُ الشَّيْطَانُ بِرَايَتِهِ ، فَلَمْ يَزَلْ تَحْتَ رَايَةِ الشَّيْطَانِ ، حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whenever a person leaves his house, there are two flags at his door. One flag is in the hand of an angel and the other is in the hand of Satan. If he goes out for an act that pleases Allah, the angel takes his flag and accompanies him, and he remains under the angel’s flag until he returns home. And if he goes out for an act that displeases Allah, Satan takes his flag and accompanies him, and he remains under Satan’s flag until he returns home.
Hadith 8287
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِر ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَال : " لَعَنَ َرسولُ اللَّهِ الْمُحِلَّ وَالْمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed both the one who performs Halala and the one for whom it is performed.
Hadith 8288
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِر ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ، قَالَ : " لَتُؤَدُّنَّ الْحُقُوقُ إِلَى أَهْلِهَا ، حَتَّى تُقَادَ الشَّاةُ الْجَمَّاءُ مِنَ الشَّاةِ الْقَرْنَاءِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, the rightful will be given their rights, to the extent that even the hornless goat will be given retribution from the horned goat that butted it.
Hadith 8289
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِر ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَال : " الدُّنْيَا سِجْنُ الْمُؤْمِنِ وَجَنَّةُ الْكَافِرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The world is a prison for the believer and a paradise for the disbeliever.
Hadith 8290
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي كَثِير ، عَنِ ابْنِ يَعْقُوبَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " سَبَقَ الْمُفَرِّدُونَ " ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَمَنْ الْمُفَرِّدُون ؟ قَالَ " الَّذِينَ يُهْتَرُونَ فِي ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Mufarridoon have taken the lead." The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked, "O Messenger of Allah, who are the Mufarridoon?" He replied, "Those who remain engaged in the remembrance of Allah."
Hadith 8291
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ خَلَقَ آدَمَ عَلَى صُورَتِهِ " ، قال عبد الله بن أحمد : وَفِي كِتَابِ أَبِي : وَطُولُهُ سِتُّونَ ذِرَاعًا ، فَلَا أَدْرِي حَدَّثَنَا بِهِ أَمْ لَا ! .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah created Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) in His own image. (In my father's book, it was also mentioned that the height of Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) was sixty cubits, but now I do not know whether he narrated this to us or not.)
Hadith 8292
حَدَّثَنا َأَبُو عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، عَنْ ضَمْضَمِ بْنِ جَوْسٍ الْيَمَامِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : يَا يَمَامِيُّ ، لَا تَقُولَنَّ لِرَجُلٍ وَاللَّهِ لَا يَغْفِرُ اللَّهُ لَكَ ، أَوْ لَا يُدْخِلُكَ اللَّهُ الْجَنَّةَ أَبَدًا ، قُلْتُ : يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، إِنَّ هَذِهِ لَكَلِمَةٌ يَقُولُهَا أَحَدُنَا لِأَخِيهِ وَصَاحِبِهِ إِذَا غَضِبَ ، قَالَ : فَلَا تَقُلْهَا ، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " كَانَ فِي بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ رَجُلَانِ ، كَانَ أَحَدُهُمَا مُجْتَهِدًا فِي الْعِبَادَةِ ، وَكَانَ الْآخَرُ مُسْرِفًا عَلَى نَفْسِهِ ، فَكَانَا مُتَآخِيَيْنِ ، فَكَانَ الْمُجْتَهِدُ لَا يَزَالُ يَرَى الْآخَرَ عَلَى ذَنْبٍ ، فَيَقُولُ : يَا هَذَا ، أَقْصِرْ ، فَيَقُولُ : خَلِّنِي وَرَبِّي ، أَبُعِثْتَ عَلَيَّ رَقِيبًا ؟ ! قَالَ : إِلَى أَنْ رَآهُ يَوْمًا عَلَى ذَنْبٍ اسْتَعْظَمَهُ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : وَيْحَكَ ، أَقْصِرْ ، قَالَ : خَلِّنِي وَرَبِّي ، أَبُعِثْتَ عَلَيَّ رَقِيبًا ؟ ! قَالَ : فَقَالَ : وَاللَّهِ لَا يَغْفِرُ اللَّهُ لَكَ ، أَوْ لَا يُدْخِلُكَ اللَّهُ الْجَنَّةَ أَبَدًا ، قَالَ : أَحَدُهُمَا ، قَالَ : فَبَعَثَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِمَا مَلَكًا ، فَقَبَضَ أَرْوَاحَهُمَا ، وَاجْتَمَعَا عنده ، فَقَالَ لِلْمُذْنِبِ : اذْهَبْ فَادْخُلْ الْجَنَّةَ بِرَحْمَتِي ، وَقَالَ لِلْآخَرِ : أَكُنْتَ بِي عَالِمًا ، أَكُنْتَ عَلَى مَا فِي يَدِي خَازِنًا ، اذْهَبُوا بِهِ إِلَى النَّارِ ، قَالَ : فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسُ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ بِيَدِهِ ، لَتَكَلَّمَ بِالْكَلِمَةِ أَوْبَقَتْ دُنْيَاهُ وَآخِرَتَهُ " .
Dhamdham bin Jaus says that once Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said to me, "O Yamami, never say about any man that, 'By Allah, you will never be forgiven,' or, 'Allah will never admit you to Paradise.'" I said, "O Abu Hurairah, every one of us says this to his brother or companion in anger." He replied, "But still, you should not say it. I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'There were two men among the Children of Israel; one was a great worshipper and the other was very sinful and immoral. The worshipper said to the sinner, 'By Allah, you will never be forgiven,' or, 'Allah will never admit you to Paradise.' Allah sent the Angel of Death to both of them, and he seized their souls, and both were brought together before Allah. Allah said to the sinner, 'Go by My mercy and enter Paradise,' and to the other He said, 'Did you know My decisions? Were you in control of what I possess?' Take him to Hell.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'By Him in Whose hand is the life of Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him), he uttered only one word which destroyed his world and his Hereafter.'"
Hadith 8293
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاَمِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَفْلَحُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ، مِنْ أَهْلِ قُبَاءَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَافِعٍ مَوْلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , يَقُول : " إِنْ طَالَتْ بكْ مُدَّةٌ ، أَوْشَكَ أَنْ تَرَوْا قَوْمًا يَغْدُونَ فِي سَخَطِ اللَّهِ ، وَيَرُوحُونَ فِي لَعْنَةِ اللَّهِ ، فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ مِثْلُ أَذْنَابِ الْبَقَرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: If you live long, soon you will see a people whose morning will be in the displeasure of Allah and whose evening will be in the curse of Allah, and in their hands will be sticks like the tails of cows.
Hadith 8294
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَال : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " مَنْ عُرِضَ لَهُ شَيْءٌ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَسْأَلَهُ ، فَلْيَقْبَلْهُ ، فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ رِزْقٌ سَاقَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If Allah grants someone some wealth and property without him asking for it, then he should accept it, because this is sustenance that Allah has sent to him.
Hadith 8295
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، وَعَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ : إِنِّي إِذَا رَأَيْتُكَ طَابَتْ نَفْسِي ، وَقَرَّتْ عَيْنِي ، فَأَنْبِئْنِي عَنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ ، قَالَ : " كُلُّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنَ الْمَاءِ " . قَالَ : أَنْبِئْنِي بِأَمْرٍ إِذَا أَخَذْتُ بِهِ دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ ، قَالَ : " أَفْشِ السَّلَامَ ، وَأَطْعِمْ الطَّعَامَ ، وَصِلْ الْأَرْحَامَ ، وَصَلِّ وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ ، ثُمَّ ادْخُلْ الْجَنَّةَ بِسَلَامٍ " ، قَالَ عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ : وَأَنْبِئْنِي عَنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I submitted in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah, when I see you, my heart becomes cool and my eyes find peace. Please tell me the origin of everything?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Everything has been created from water." I submitted, "Tell me something that if I hold on to it, I will enter Paradise." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Spread peace, feed food, maintain ties of kinship, and stand in prayer at night when people are sleeping, and you will enter Paradise in peace."
Hadith 8296
حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا رَأَيْتُكَ طَابَتْ نَفْسِي ، وَقَرَّتْ عَيْنِي ، فَأَنْبِئْنِي عَنْ كُلِّ شَيْء . . . " فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ .
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 8297
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِر ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَوْدُودٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي حَدْرَدٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ ، قَال : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُول : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ دَخَلَ هَذَا الْمَسْجِدَ فَبَزَقَ أَوْ تَنَخَّمَ ، أَوْ تَنَخَّعَ ، فَلْيَحْفِرْ فِيهِ وَلْيُبْعِدْ ، فَلْيَدْفِنْهُ ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ ، فَفِي ثَوْبِهِ ثُمَّ لِيَخْرُجْ بِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If any one of you enters the mosque and wants to clear his nose or spit, he should go far away and bury it. If he cannot do so, then he should spit into his garment.
Hadith 8298
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِر ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُطَّلِبِ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " مَنْ أُرِيدَ مَالُهُ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ فَقُتِلَ ، فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever's wealth is unjustly attempted to be taken from him, and he is killed while protecting it, then he is a martyr.
Hadith 8299
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِر , حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " أَعْطَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْئًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ ، فَجَعَلْتُهُ فِي مِكْتَلٍ لَنَا ، فَعَلَّقْنَاهُ فِي سَقْفِ الْبَيْتِ ، فَلَمْ نَزَلْ نَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ حَتَّى كَانَ آخِرُهُ أَصَابَهُ أَهْلُ الشَّامِ حَيْثُ أَغَارُوا عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave me some dates. I put them in a pouch and hung that pouch on the roof of my house. We would keep taking dates out of it and eating them (but they would not decrease), but when the people of Syria attacked Madinah Munawwarah, it fell into their hands.
Hadith 8300
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، حَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبٌ يَعْنِي الْمُعَلِّمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْروُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَال : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسلَّمَ : " الزَّانِي الْمَجْلُودُ لَا يَنْكِحُ إِلَّا مِثْلَةُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A flogged adulterer marries only someone like himself."
Hadith 8301
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، حَدَّثَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ، قَالَ : أَقَمْتُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ مَعَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ سَنَةً ، فَقَالَ لِي ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ وَنَحْنُ عِنْدَ حُجْرَةِ عَائِشَةَ : لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنَا وَمَا لَنَا ثِيَابٌ إِلَّا الْبِرَادُ الْمُفَتَّقَةُ ، وَإِنَّهُ لَيَأْتِي عَلَى أَحَدِنَا الْأَيَّامُ مَا يَجِدُ طَعَامًا يُقِيمُ بِهِ صُلْبَهُ ، حَتَّى إِنْ كَانَ أَحَدُنَا لَيَأْخُذُ الْحَجَرَ فَيَشُدُّهُ عَلَى أَخْمَصِ بَطْنِهِ ، ثُمَّ يَشُدُّهُ بِثَوْبِهِ لِيُقِيمَ بِهِ صُلْبَه ، " فَقَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ بَيْنَنَا تَمْرًا " ، فَأَصَابَ كُلُّ إِنْسَانٍ مِنَّا سَبْعَ تَمَرَاتٍ فِيهِنَّ حَشَفَةٌ ، فَمَا سَرَّنِي أَنَّ لِي مَكَانَهَا تَمْرَةً جَيِّدَةً ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : لِم ؟ قَالَ : تَشُدُّ لِي مِنْ مَضْغِي . قَالَ : فَقَالَ لِي : مِنْ أَيْنَ أَقْبَلْتَ ؟ قُلْتُ مِنَ الشَّامِ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ لِي : هَلْ رَأَيْتَ حَجَرَ مُوسَى ؟ قُلْتُ : وَمَا حَجَرُ مُوسَى ؟ قَالَ : إِنَّ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ قَالُوا لِمُوسَى قَوْلًا تَحْتَ ثِيَابِهِ فِي مَذَاكِيرِهِ ، قَالَ : فَوَضَعَ ثِيَابَهُ عَلَى صَخْرَةٍ وَهُوَ يَغْتَسِلُ ، قَالَ : فَسَعَتْ ثِيَابُهُ ، قَالَ : فَتَبِعَهَا فِي أَثَرِهَا وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : يَا حَجَرُ ، أَلْقِ ثِيَابِي ، حَتَّى أَتَتْ بِهِ عَلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ ، فَرَأَوْا مُسْتَوِيًا حَسَنَ الْخَلْقِ ، فَلَجَبَهُ ثَلَاثَ لَجَبَاتٍ ، فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ بِيَدِهِ ، لَوْ كُنْتُ نَظَرْتُ ، لَرَأَيْتُ لَجَبَاتِ مُوسَى فِيهِ .
Abdullah bin Shaqiq (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I stayed in the company of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) in Madinah Munawwarah for a year. One day, when we were near the chamber of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), he said to me: I have seen such times upon myself that we had no other clothes except torn and old sheets, and many days would pass over us when we did not even get enough food to straighten our backs, to the extent that we would tie stones to our bellies so that our backs could be straightened by that. One day, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) distributed some dates among us, and each of us received seven dates, among which there was one unripe date. I did not even wish to get a good date in its place. I asked, why? He replied: I have difficulty in chewing. Then he said to me: Where have you come from? I said: From Syria. He said: Have you seen the stone of Musa (peace be upon him)? I asked: What kind of stone of Musa (peace be upon him)? He said: Once, the Children of Israel said extremely indecent things about the private parts of Musa (peace be upon him). One day, Musa (peace be upon him) took off his clothes to bathe and placed them on a stone. The stone ran away with his clothes. Musa (peace be upon him) ran after it, saying: O stone, give me my clothes! O stone, give me my clothes! until the stone stopped near the Children of Israel. They saw that Musa (peace be upon him) was perfectly healthy and his physique was extremely good. Musa (peace be upon him), in anger, struck the stone three times. By the One in whose hand is the life of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), if I could have seen it, I would have seen the marks of Musa’s (peace be upon him) strikes on it.
Hadith 8302
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا فَرْقَدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ أَكْذَبَ النَّاسِ الصَّوَّاغُونَ ، وَالصَّبَّاغُونَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The greatest liars are dyers and goldsmiths.
Hadith 8303
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، وَعَفَّانُ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ رِيَاحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " تَبَادَرُوا بِالْأَعْمَالِ سِتًّا : طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا ، وَالدَّجَّال ، وَالدُّخَانَ ، وَدَابَّةَ الْأَرْضِ ، وَخُوَيْصَّةَ أَحَدِكُمْ ، وَأَمْرَ الْعَامَّةِ " ، قَالَ عَفَّانُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : وَكَانَ قَتَادَةُ إِذَا قَالَ : " وَأَمْرَ الْعَامَّةِ " ، قَالَ : وَأَمْرَ السَّاعَةِ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Hasten to perform righteous deeds before six events occur: the rising of the sun from the west, the emergence of the Dajjal, the appearance of smoke, the emergence of the Beast of the earth, the death of a particular person among you, or the general death of all."
Hadith 8304
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُمَيَّةَ عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي جَدِّي سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , يَقُولُ : " هَلَاكُ أُمَّتِي عَلَى يَدِ غِلْمَةٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ " ، قَالَ مَرْوَانُ : وَهُوَ مَعَنَا فِي الْحَلْقَةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَلِيَ شَيْئًا , فَلَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ غِلْمَةً ، قَالَ : وَأَمَا وَاللَّهِ لَوْ أَشَاءُ أَقُولُ : بَنُو فُلَانٍ وَبَنُو فُلَانٍ ، لَفَعَلْتُ ، قَالَ : فَقُمْتُ أَخْرُجُ أَنَا مَعَ أَبِي وَجَدِّي إِلَى مَرْوَانَ بَعْدَمَا مُلِّكُوا ، فَإِذَا هُمْ يُبَايِعُونَ الصِّبْيَانَ مِنْهُمْ ، وَمَنْ يُبَايِعُ لَهُ وَهُوَ فِي خِرْقَةٍ ، قَالَ لَنَا : هَلْ عَسَى أَصْحَابُكُمْ هَؤُلَاءِ أَنْ يَكُونُوا الَّذِينَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَذْكُرُ أَنَّ هَذِهِ الْمُلُوكَ يُشْبِهُ بَعْضُهَا بَعْضًا ؟ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "The destruction of my Ummah will be at the hands of a few foolish youths from the Quraysh." Upon hearing this hadith, Marwan, who was sitting with us in the circle of hadith and had not yet become governor, said: "May Allah's curse be upon those boys." Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "By Allah, if I wish, I can even tell you the names of their tribes." The narrator says: When Marwan became governor, I set out with my father and grandfather. Those people were taking allegiance even from children, and the one for whom allegiance was being taken was wrapped in a sheet. He said to us: "Perhaps your companions have heard Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrate a hadith about kings, that they resemble one another."
Hadith 8305
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ السَّمَّانِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " الشُّهَدَاءُ خَمْسَةٌ : الْمَطْعُونُ ، وَالْمَبْطُونُ ، وَالْغَرِقُ ، وَصَاحِبُ الْهَدْم ، وَالشَّهِيدُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There are five types of martyrs. Dying due to plague is martyrdom, dying due to a stomach disease is martyrdom, drowning in water is martyrdom, dying by falling is martyrdom, and being killed in the path of Allah (jihad) is also martyrdom.
Hadith 8306
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي نُعْمَانُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَهُ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَأْكُلْ بِيَمِينِهِ ، ويشرب بيمينه ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ ، وَيَشْرَبُ بِشِمَالِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whenever any of you eats food, he should eat with his right hand and drink with his right hand, because Satan eats and drinks with his left hand.
Hadith 8307
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَهُمْ يَذْكُرُونَ الْكَمْأَةَ ، وَبَعْضُهُمْ يَقُولُ : جُدَرِيُّ الْأَرْضِ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْكَمْأَةُ مِنَ الْمَنِّ ، وَمَاؤُهَا شِفَاءٌ لِلْعَيْنِ ، وَالْعَجْوَةُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ ، وَهِيَ شِفَاءٌ مِنَ السُّمِّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to his companions and they were expressing their opinions about that tree which rises from the surface of the earth and does not remain fixed. Some people said, "In our opinion, it is the mushroom." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "The mushroom is a part of manna (which was sent down upon the Children of Israel), and its water is a cure for the eyes. And the Ajwa date is a date from Paradise, and it is a cure for poison."
Hadith 8308
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَال : " لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَأْخُذَ أُمَّتِي مَا أَخَذَ الْأُمَمَ وَالْقُرُونَ قَبْلَهَا ، شِبْرًا بِشِبْرٍ ، وَذِرَاعًا بِذِرَاعٍ " ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، كَمَا فَعَلَتْ فَارِسُ وَالرُّومُ ؟ قَالَ : " وَهَلْ النَّاسُ إِلَّا أُولَئِك ؟ ! " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Day of Judgment will not be established until my Ummah indulges in the deeds of the previous nations, span by span and cubit by cubit. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: O Messenger of Allah, like the people of Persia and Rome did? The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then who else besides them were among the previous people?
Hadith 8309
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ ، وَأَبُو سَلَمَةَ , قَالَا : ثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنَ بِلَالٍ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " لَعَنَ الرَّجُلَ يَلْبَسُ لُبْسَةَ الْمَرْأَةِ ، وَالْمَرْأَةَ تَلْبَسُ لُبْسَةَ الرَّجُلِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed men who wear women's clothing and women who wear men's clothing.
Hadith 8310
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُرِيدُ سَفَرًا ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَوْصِنِي ، قَالَ : " أُوصِيكَ بِتَقْوَى اللَّهِ ، وَالتَّكْبِيرِ عَلَى كُلِّ شَرَفٍ " ، فَلَمَّا وَلَّى الرَّجُلُ ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اللَّهُمَّ ازْوِ لَهُ الْأَرْضَ ، وَهَوِّنْ عَلَيْهِ السَّفَرَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He was about to set out on a journey and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), give me some advice." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I advise you to fear Allah and to proclaim the takbeer (Allahu Akbar) on every elevation." When that man turned to leave, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O Allah, fold the earth for him and make his journey easy."
Hadith 8311
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْفَقْرِ ، وَالْقِلَّةِ ، وَالذِّلَّةِ ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ أَنْ أَظْلِمَ ، أَوْ أُظْلَمَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from poverty, scarcity, and humiliation, and from that I should oppress anyone or anyone should oppress me.
Hadith 8312
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي زِيَادٌ ، أَنَّ ثَابِتًا مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لِيُسَلِّمْ الرَّاكِبُ عَلَى الْمَاشِي ، وَالْمَاشِي عَلَى الْقَاعِدِ ، وَالْقَلِيلُ عَلَى الْكَثِير " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The rider should greet the one who is walking, the one who is walking should greet the one who is sitting, and the smaller group should greet the larger group.
Hadith 8313
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، وَأَبُو الْمُنْذِرِ , قَالَا : ثَنَا مَالِكٌ , عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ زُفَرِ بْنِ صَعْصَعَةَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا انْصَرَفَ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْغَدَاةِ , يَقُولُ : " هَلْ رَأَى أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ اللَّيْلَةَ رُؤْيَا ؟ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ يَبْقَى بَعْدِي مِنَ النُّبُوَّةِ إِلَّا الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the Fajr prayer and sat facing his companions (may Allah be pleased with them), he would say: "Did any of you see a dream last night?" After me, no part of prophethood remains except good dreams.
Hadith 8314
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي لَبِيدٍ ، عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَنْطَبٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَال رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَمَرَنِي جِبْرِيلُ بِرَفْعِ الصَّوْتِ فِي الْإِهْلَالِ ، فَإِنَّهُ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ الْحَجِّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Jibreel conveyed to me the command to recite the Talbiyah in a loud voice, because Talbiyah is among the rituals of Hajj.
Hadith 8315
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ لَمْ تُحْبَسْ لِبَشَرٍ إِلَّا لِيُوشَعَ لَيَالِيَ سَارَ إِلَى بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The sun was not held back for anyone except for Yusha (peace be upon him). This incident occurred with him during the days when he advanced towards Bayt al-Maqdis.
Hadith 8316
حَدَّثَنَا الأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ : رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ سَلَكَ طَرِيقًا يَلْتَمِسُ فِيهِ عِلْمًا سَهَّلَ اللَّهُ لَهُ طَرِيقًا إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever sets out on a path to seek knowledge, Allah makes the path to Paradise easy for him.
Hadith 8317
حَدَّثَنَا الأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " نَحَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَزُورًا فَانْتَهَبَهَا النَّاسُ ، فَنَادَى مُنَادِيهِ : إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ يَنْهَيَانِكُمْ عَنِ النُّهْبَةِ ، فَجَاءَ النَّاسُ بِمَا أَخَذُوا ، فَقَسَمَهُ بَيْنَهُمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) slaughtered a camel. People snatched it and took it away. Upon this, the announcer of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made an announcement that Allah and His Messenger forbid you from looting. Consequently, the people returned all the meat they had taken, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) distributed it among them.
Hadith 8318
حَدَّثَنَا الْأَسْوَدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تُبَاشِرْ الْمَرْأَةُ الْمَرْأَةَ ، وَلَا الرَّجُلُ الرَّجُلَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No woman should touch her naked body with another woman, and likewise, no man should do so with another man.
