Sayyiduna Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Every male servant and female servant (that is, every man and woman) has three friends. One friend says: I am with you; take whatever you wish and leave whatever you wish; that is his wealth. Another friend says: I am with you, but when you come to the door of the King, I will leave you; those are his servants and his family. And another friend says: Wherever you enter and wherever you go out, I will be with you; that is his deeds."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and his wording is: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The likeness of a man and of death is that of a man who has three friends. The first says: This is my wealth; take what you wish, give what you wish and leave what you wish. The second says: I am with you; I will keep serving you, but when you die I will leave you. The third says: I will be with you; I will go in with you and come out with you, whether (you) die or you live. As for the one who said: This is my wealth, take from it what you wish and leave what you wish, that is the man's wealth; the second (friend) is the man's clan; and the third friend is the man's deeds: wherever the man is, it will go in with him and come out with him."
Al-Bazzar recorded something similar, and in al-Kabir the narrators of one of its chains are the narrators of the Sahih.

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Every person has three friends. One friend says: Whatever you spend is yours, and whatever you do not spend will not be yours; that is the man's wealth. Another friend says: I am with you, but when you come to the door of the King, I will leave you and go back; that is the man's family. And another friend says: I will be with you when you go in and when you come out; that is the man's deeds. Then the man says: Of the three, you were the one I valued least."
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. The narrators of both are the narrators of the Sahih, except Imran al-Qattan; he has been declared trustworthy, though there is disagreement about him.

Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundab (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "When any one of you dies, he has three companions. One of them is such that whatever the man asks of it, it refuses; that is his wealth. One companion walks along with the man until the man enters the grave; that companion neither gives him anything nor withholds anything from him; those are his relatives. And one companion says: Wherever you go, I will be with you; I will not part from you; that is the man's deeds, whether they are good or bad."
Al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani recorded it with a da'if (weak) chain.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The likeness of the son of Adam, his wealth, his family and his deeds is that of a man who has three brothers (the narrator is unsure, or perhaps the words are:) who has three companions. One of them says: I am with you during your life, but when you die I will have nothing to do with you and you will have nothing to do with me. The second says: I am with you, but when you reach that tree, I will have nothing to do with you and you will have nothing to do with me. And the third says: I am with you in life and in death (in every state)."
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
