Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us from being eager to acquire abundance in family and wealth. The narrator says: Abu Hamzah, who was sitting with him (the hadith scholar) at that time, said: Yes! Akhram al-Ta'i narrated this hadith to me from his father, from Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he also narrated: Then Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: So what will become of the people of Baradhan? What will become of the people of Madinah? And what will become of the people of such-and-such? The narrator says: I asked Abu al-Tayyah: What does the word 'tabaqqur' mean? He replied: Abundance (seeking it).
Ahmad recorded it with several chains, and among them is a man who is not named.

Shaqiq says: Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) and said: O Mother of the Believers! I fear that I will be ruined, for I am the wealthiest of Quraysh; I have sold a piece of my land for forty thousand dinars. Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O my son! Spend (in the way of Allah)! After this the narrator mentioned the full narration.
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih; this narration has various routes, which have passed earlier.
