Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty loves the believing servant who is tried (that is, who falls into sin) and who repents abundantly."
Abdullah and Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains a narrator whom I do not know.

Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) says: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, one of us commits a sin. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is recorded against him." The man asked: Then he seeks forgiveness for it and repents. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He is forgiven and his repentance is accepted." The man asked: What if he commits that sin again? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is recorded against him." The man said: What if he again seeks forgiveness for it and repents? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He is forgiven and his repentance is accepted. Allah Almighty does not grow weary (its idiomatic sense is that Allah Almighty's grace is never cut off from you) until you grow weary."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain is hasan (good).

Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: Habib bin al-Harith came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, I am a man who sins much. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Habib, repent to Allah Almighty." He said: O Messenger of Allah, I repent and then commit the same sin again. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whenever you commit a sin, repent as well." He said: O Messenger of Allah, in that case my sins will become many. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Habib bin al-Harith, Allah Almighty's pardon is greater than your sins."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Nuh bin Dhakwan, who is da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, I commit sins. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you commit a sin, seek forgiveness from your Lord." He said: I seek His forgiveness and then commit a sin again. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you commit a sin, seek forgiveness from your Lord again." He said: I seek forgiveness and then commit a sin again. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you commit a sin again, then seek forgiveness from your Lord again." This exchange took place a fourth time, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you commit a sin, seek forgiveness from your Lord (that is, keep doing so always), so that it is Satan who ends up the loser."
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains Bashshar bin al-Hakam al-Dabbi, whom more than one scholar declared da'if (weak), while Ibn Adi said: I hope there is no harm in him. The rest of its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
Allamah al-Haythami says: I say: More hadiths about seeking forgiveness will come after this.
