Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever would like to outstrip the one who is constantly devoted and striving hard should refrain from sins."
Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains Yusuf bin Maymun, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy) while the majority declared him da'if (weak), and the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
