عَنْ أَبِي لَاسٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ قَالَ : حَمَلَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَلَى إِبِلٍ مِنْ إِبِلِ الصَّدَقَةِ بُلْجٍ ، فَقُلْنَا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا نَرَى أَنْ تَحْمِلَنَا هَذِهِ ! فَقَالَ : " مَا مِنْ بَعِيرٍ إِلَّا فِي ذُرْوَتِهِ شَيْطَانٌ ، فَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - إِذَا رَكِبْتُمُوهَا كَمَا أَمَرَكُمُ اللَّهُ ، ثُمَّ امْتَهِنُوهَا لِأَنْفُسِكُمْ ; فَإِنَّهَا تَحْمِلُ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ بِأَسَانِيدَ ، وَرِجَالُ أَحَدِهَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، وَقَدْ صَرَّحَ بِالسَّمَاعِ فِي إِحْدَاهِمَا .
Sayyiduna Abu Las al-Khuza'i (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave us some camels from the camels of charity (sadaqah) to ride. We said: "O Messenger of Allah, we do not think that we will be able to ride these." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the hump of every camel there is a devil. So when you are about to mount it, mention the name of Allah over it as Allah Almighty has commanded you, and then bring it under your control for yourselves; by the permission of Allah it will serve you as a mount."
Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it with various chains; the narrators of one of them are the narrators of the Sahih, except Muhammad bin Ishaq, and he explicitly stated that he heard it directly (sama') in one of the two narrations.

وَعَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْأَسْلَمِيِّ : أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَاهُ يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " عَلَى كُلِّ بَعِيرٍ شَيْطَانٌ ، فَإِذَا رَكِبْتُمُوهَا فَسَمُّوا اللَّهَ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - وَلَا تُقَصِّرُوا عَنْ حَاجَاتِكُمْ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .
Muhammad bin Hamzah bin Amr al-Aslami narrates that he heard his father say: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "On the back of every camel there is a devil. When you mount it, mention the name of Allah, and do not fall short regarding your needs."
Ahmad and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat recorded it, and the narrators of both are the narrators of the Sahih, except Muhammad bin Hamzah, who is thiqah (trustworthy).

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " عَلَى ذُرْوَةِ سَنَامِ كُلِّ بَعِيرٍ شَيْطَانٌ ، فَامْتَهِنُوهَا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ غُصْنٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the top of the hump of every camel there is a devil, so bring it (the camel) under your control."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains al-Qasim bin Ghusn, who is da'if (weak).

Hadith Takhrij «أخرجه المعجم الأوسط للطبراني برقم: 6684»
وَعَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا مِنْ رَاكِبٍ يَخْلُو فِي مَسِيرِهِ بِاللَّهِ وَذِكْرِهِ ، إِلَّا رَدِفَهُ مَلَكٌ ، وَلَا يَخْلُو بِشِعْرٍ وَنَحْوِهِ إِلَّا رَدِفَهُ شَيْطَانٌ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever remembers Allah during his journey and engages in His remembrance, an angel joins him; and whoever recites poetry and the like, a devil joins him."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).

Hadith Takhrij «اخرجه الطبراني فى المعجم الكبير (324/17)»
وَعَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ : إِذَا رَكِبَ الرَّجُلُ الدَّابَّةَ فَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ رَدِفَهُ الشَّيْطَانُ فَقَالَ لَهُ : تَغَنَّ ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يُحْسِنْ قَالَ لَهُ : تَمَنَّ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ مَوْقُوفًا ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When a man mounts a riding animal and does not mention the name of Allah, the devil sits behind him and says: "Hum something!" If that person does not do so, the devil says to him: "Make some wish!"
Al-Tabarani recorded it as a mawquf report (stopping at the Companion), and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

Hadith Takhrij «اخرجه الطبراني فى المعجم الكبير (8781)»
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَرْدَفَهُ عَلَى دَابَّتِهِ ، فَلَمَّا اسْتَوَى عَلَيْهَا كَبَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - ثَلَاثًا ، وَحَمَدَ اللَّهَ ثَلَاثًا ، وَسَبَّحَ اللَّهَ ثَلَاثًا ، وَهَلَّلَ اللَّهَ وَاحِدَةً ، ثُمَّ اسْتَلْقَى عَلَيْهِ فَضَحِكَ ، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ : " مَا مِنِ امْرِئٍ يَرْكَبُ دَابَّتَهُ فَيَصْنَعُ كَمَا صَنَعْتُ إِلَّا أَقْبَلَ اللَّهُ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - فَضَحِكَ إِلَيْهِ كَمَا ضَحِكْتُ إِلَيْكَ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) seated him behind himself on his mount. When the mount stood up, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said the takbir three times, recited 'al-Hamdu lillah' three times, recited 'Subhan Allah' three times, and recited 'La ilaha illallah' once. Then he sat upright and laughed. Then he turned towards Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever mounts a riding animal and then does as I have done, Allah Almighty turns towards him and smiles at him just as I smiled looking at you."
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains Abu Bakr bin Abi Maryam, who is da'if (weak).
