Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) seated him behind himself on his mount. When the mount stood up, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said the takbir three times, recited 'al-Hamdu lillah' three times, recited 'Subhan Allah' three times, and recited 'La ilaha illallah' once. Then he sat upright and laughed. Then he turned towards Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever mounts a riding animal and then does as I have done, Allah Almighty turns towards him and smiles at him just as I smiled looking at you."
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains Abu Bakr bin Abi Maryam, who is da'if (weak).
