Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17097

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When a man mounts a riding animal and does not mention the name of Allah, the devil sits behind him and says: "Hum something!" If that person does not do so, the devil says to him: "Make some wish!"
Al-Tabarani recorded it as a mawquf report (stopping at the Companion), and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
