Mention of the Messiah Isa bin Maryam (peace be upon him)

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I hope that if my life is prolonged I will meet Sayyiduna Isa bin Maryam (peace be upon him). If death comes to me early, then whoever among you meets him should convey my greeting of peace to him."
Ahmad recorded it both as marfu' and as mawquf, and the narrators of both are the narrators of the Sahih.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Beware! Sayyiduna Isa bin Maryam (peace be upon him) is such that there is no prophet and no messenger between him and me. However, after me he will be my successor among my Ummah. Beware! He will kill the Dajjal, break the cross and abolish the jizyah, and at that time war will come to an end. Beware! Whoever among you lives to see his time should convey the greeting of peace to him." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Part of this narration is mentioned in the Sahih.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Muhammad bin Uqbah al-Sadusi, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy) and Abu Hatim declared da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sayyiduna Isa bin Maryam (peace be upon him) will descend and will remain among the people for forty years."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Aws bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sayyiduna Isa bin Maryam (peace be upon him) will descend at the white minaret in the eastern part of Damascus."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

Imam al-Sha'bi states: A man said in the presence of Sayyiduna al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him): "May Allah Almighty send blessings upon Sayyiduna Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), who is the Seal of the Prophets, and there will be no prophet after him." Sayyiduna al-Mughirah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "It would have been enough for you to say that he is the Seal of the Prophets, for we used to speak of Sayyiduna Isa bin Maryam (peace be upon him) appearing; and if he appears, then he was before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and will also be after him."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Mujalid bin Sa'id, who is da'if (weak). A group declared him weak, though he has also been declared trustworthy, and the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) states: Sayyiduna Isa bin Maryam (peace be upon him) will be buried alongside the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his two companions (that is, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)), and his will be the fourth grave.
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Uthman bin al-Dahhak, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy) and Abu Dawud declared da'if (weak). Al-Mizzi (may Allah have mercy on him)
mentioned this narration in his biography, attributed it to al-Tirmidhi and said: It is hasan. However, in al-Atraf I
did not find this narration, and Allah knows best.

Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), the daughter of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), states: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Indeed, Isa bin Maryam remained among the Children of Israel for forty years."
Abu Ya'la recorded it from al-Husayn bin Ali bin al-Aswad, whom al-Azdi declared da'if (weak) and Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy); and the narrator Yahya bin Ja'dah did not live in the time of Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her).
