Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Any Muslim who, after looking at the beauty of a woman, lowers his gaze, Allah Almighty grants him an act of worship whose sweetness he (that person) feels."
Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it, but he (al-Tabarani) narrated these words: "his eye falls upon a woman for the first time." Its chain contains Ali bin Yazid al-Alhani, who is matruk (abandoned).

Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) states that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "O Ali, you have a treasure in Paradise, and you are the one with its two horns. So do not follow one glance with another, for the first is your right, but the second is not your right."
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains Ibn Ishaq, who is a mudallis. The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Allah Almighty says:) "The glance is a poisoned arrow from among the arrows of Satan. Whoever abandons it out of fear of Me, I will give him in exchange a faith whose sweetness he will feel in his heart."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Abd al-Rahman bin Ishaq al-Wasiti, who is da'if (weak).
