It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I do not know whether the hadd punishments are an expiation or not."
Al-Bazzar recorded it with two chains. The narrators of one of the two are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Ahmad bin Mansur al-Ramadi, and he is thiqah (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Abu Tamimah al-Hujaymi (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Once I was in one of the gardens of Madinah when I saw a woman, and all my attention was drawn towards her, until she came near me. Then I kept watching her from behind until I came near a wall. I turned, and my face struck the wall and it made me bleed. I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and told the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about it, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, when Allah Almighty intends good for a servant, He gives him the punishment for his sin in this world, and our Lord is too noble to punish a sin twice."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Hisham bin Lahiq; Ahmad abandoned his hadith, Ibn Hibban declared him da'if (weak), and al-Dhahabi says: al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) declared him strong. This narration has various chains, which are found in different places.
