Book of Legal Punishments and Blood Money
بَابُ هَلْ تُكَفِّرُ الْحُدُودُ الذُّنُوبَ أَمْ لَا

Majma al-Zawaid 10595 — Whether the prescribed punishments expiate
وَعَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " أَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ أَصَابَ شَيْئًا مِمَّا نَهَى اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، ثُمَّ أُقِيمَ عَلَيْهِ حَدُّهُ ، كَفَّرَ عَنْهُ ذَلِكَ الذَّنْبَ " .
Sayyiduna Khuzaymah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Any servant who commits something that Allah Almighty has forbidden, and then the hadd punishment is carried out on him, that punishment removes that sin from him."
