Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once the camels of sadaqah (charity) passed by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet stretched out his blessed hand, took a hair from the side of a camel and said: "Even regarding this hair, I have no more right than any individual among the Muslims."

Abdullah bin Zurayr narrates that he went to Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) (the narrator named Hasan stated: this was on the day of Eid al-Adha). He placed khazirah (a dish of meat and flour) before us, so I said: "May Allah Almighty keep you well! If you had placed this 'batt' (duck) before us (to eat), (it would have been more fitting), for Allah Almighty has granted abundant good." He said: "O Ibn Zurayr! I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: 'Nothing of the wealth of Allah is lawful for a caliph except two bowls: one bowl which he and his family eat, and one bowl which he places before the people.'"
This narration has been recorded by Imam Ahmad. Its chain contains one narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah; his hadith is hasan (good), and there is weakness in it.

Sayyiduna Imam Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the final moments of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) drew near, he said: "O Aishah! The she-camel whose milk we used to drink, the bowl from which we used to eat, and the blanket we used to wrap ourselves in, we benefited from these things only for as long as we were in charge of the affairs of the Muslims. When I die, give these things to Umar." When Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away, Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) sent those things to Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "May Allah Almighty have mercy on you; you have made things hard for the one who comes after you."

Sayyiduna Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: "If Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) had left this wealth, then they would have been cheated and their judgment would have been at fault. But by Allah! They were neither cheated, nor was their judgment deficient. And if it was not lawful for them, and we take it after them, then we will be ruined. By Allah! The error will then have come from our side alone."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
