It is reported about Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) that he complained to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about lice, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed him to wear silk.
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it from his teacher Abdullah bin Shabib, who is da'if (weak).

Ibrahim bin Abi Ablah narrates: I saw on Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin Haram al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him), who had the honour of praying towards both qiblahs behind the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), a garment of khazz (a kind of silk) that was dust-coloured. The narrator Ibrahim pointed with his hand towards his shoulders while saying this.
Imam Ahmad and Imam al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Kathir bin Marwan, who is extremely da'if (weak).
