Majma al-Zawaid 8665 — Using silk because of an ailment

It is reported about Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) that he complained to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about lice, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed him to wear silk.
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it from his teacher Abdullah bin Shabib, who is da'if (weak).
