عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - تَزَوَّجَ ، وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ وَاحْتَجَمَ ، وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ .

Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) states: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) married while in the state of ihram, and also had cupping done while in the state of ihram.

وَرَوَى لَهَا الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - تَزَوَّجَ مَيْمُونَةَ ، وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ .

Al-Tabarani recorded this narration from her in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) married Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), he was at that time in the state of ihram. The narrators of al-Bazzar are the narrators of the Sahih.

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ : ( لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ تَبْتَغُوا فَضْلًا مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ ) فَهُوَ لَا حَرَجَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الشِّرَاءِ وَالْبَيْعِ قَبْلَ الْإِحْرَامِ وَبَعْدَهُ فَأَمَّا الْإِحْرَامُ ، فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - نَهَى أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَ أَوْ يُزَوَّجَ أَوْ يَنْحَرَ حَتَّى يَفْرَغَ مِنْ إِحْرَامِهِ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports regarding this saying of Allah Almighty: (Allah Almighty says:) "There is no sin upon you in seeking bounty from your Lord" — that is, there is no sin upon you if you buy and sell before ihram or after it. As for ihram, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade that a person (during ihram) marry, or give someone in marriage, or slaughter a sacrificial animal, until he has finished his ihram.
Al-Tabarani recorded it. The narrator Ali bin Abi Talhah did not hear from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both); between the two of them is Mujahid. The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy), and some of them have been criticised.

وَعَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَهَا رَجُلٌ ، وَهُوَ خَارِجٌ مِنْ مَكَّةَ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَعْتَمِرَ أَوْ يَحُجَّ . فَقَالَ : لَا تَزَوَّجْهَا وَأَنْتَ مُحْرِمٌ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَنْهُ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ أَيُّوبُ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ ، وَقَدْ وُثِّقَ .

Ikrimah bin Khalid states: I asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about a woman whom a man wishes to marry while he is outside Makkah and also intends to perform Umrah or Hajj. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "Do not marry her while you are in the state of ihram, for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade it."

رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ ، فَإِنْ كَانَ أَحْمَدَ بْنَ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ فَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ ، وَإِنْ كَانَ غَيْرَهُ فَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ لَمْ يَتَكَلَّمْ فِيهِمْ أَحَدٌ .

رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَأَبُو يَعْلَى بِاخْتِصَارٍ مَوْقُوفًا عَلَى أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " وَلَا يُخْطَبُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ ، وَلَا مَنْ سِوَاهُ " . وَرِجَالُ أَبِي يَعْلَى رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِ الطَّبَرَانِيِّ مَنْ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ .

وَعَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتَ شَيْبَةَ وَهِيَ امْرَأَةٌ كَبِيرَةٌ فَقُلْتُ لَهَا : أَتَزَوَّجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مَيْمُونَةَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ ؟ قَالَتْ : لَا ، وَلَقَدْ تَزَوَّجَهَا وَهُمَا حَلَالَانِ .

Maymun bin Mihran states: I came to Sayyidah Safiyyah bint Shaybah (may Allah be pleased with her); she was an elderly woman. I asked her: "Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) marry Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) while in the state of ihram?" She replied: "No! When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) married her, both of them were out of ihram."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; the narrators of al-Kabir are the narrators of the Sahih.
