Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever marries a woman for a dowry (mahr) while intending not to pay it to her is counted as an adulterer; and whoever takes a loan while intending not to repay it to its owner" (the narrator says: I think the words in the report are:) "is counted as a thief."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it through two routes: one of them is this, and its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Aban al-Kufi, who is da'if (weak); while the other report mentions only withholding the dowry, without mention of debt, and its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin al-Husayn al-Jazari, a teacher of Imam al-Bazzar, and I have not found anyone who mentions him. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
This report will come later in the chapter on marriage, if Allah wills.

Amr bin Dinar, the agent of al-Zubayr bin Shu'ayb al-Basri, narrates: The sons of Sayyiduna Suhayb (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Sayyiduna Suhayb (may Allah be pleased with him): "O father! The sons of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) narrate hadiths from their fathers." Sayyiduna Suhayb (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me, let him be ready to take his seat in Hell." I also heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Any man who marries a woman and intends not to give her anything of her dowry, on the day he dies he dies as an adulterer; and any man who buys something from another man in a sale and intends not to give him anything of its price, when he dies he dies as a betrayer of trust, and the betrayer of trust will be in Hell." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Imam Ibn Majah recorded a hadith from him that is specifically about debt, and it is other than this one.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and this narrator named Amr bin Dinar is matruk (abandoned).

Maymun al-Kurdi narrates from his father, who said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever marries a woman for a small or a large dowry while it is not in his mind to pay her her right is deceiving her; if he dies in that state without having paid her right, then when he appears before Allah Almighty on the Day of Resurrection, he will be counted as an adulterer. And whoever takes a loan without intending to pay the lender his right takes that person's wealth; if he dies without paying him his debt, then when he appears before Allah Almighty, he will be counted as a thief."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Saghir, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
