بَابٌ فِيمَنْ نَوَى أَنْ لَا يَقْضِيَ دَيْنَهُ .

وَعَنْ مَيْمُونٍ الْكُرْدِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " أَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً عَلَى مَا قَلَّ مَنَ الْمَهْرِ ، أَوْ كَثُرَ لَيْسَ فِي نَفْسِهِ أَنْ يُؤَدِّيَ إِلَيْهَا حَقَّهَا خَدَعَهَا ، فَمَاتَ وَلَمْ يُؤَدِّ إِلَيْهَا حَقَّهَا لَقِيَ اللَّهَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَهُوَ زَانٍ . وَأَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ اسْتَدَانَ دَيْنًا لَا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُؤَدِّيَ إِلَى صَاحِبِهِ حَقَّهُ أَخَذَ مَالَهُ ، فَمَاتَ وَلَمْ يُؤَدِّ إِلَيْهِ دَيْنَهُ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ وَهُوَ سَارِقٌ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَالصَّغِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Maymun al-Kurdi narrates from his father, who said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever marries a woman for a small or a large dowry while it is not in his mind to pay her her right is deceiving her; if he dies in that state without having paid her right, then when he appears before Allah Almighty on the Day of Resurrection, he will be counted as an adulterer. And whoever takes a loan without intending to pay the lender his right takes that person's wealth; if he dies without paying him his debt, then when he appears before Allah Almighty, he will be counted as a thief."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Saghir, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
