Imam al-Sha'bi narrates: Utbah bin Farqad bought land on the bank of the Euphrates and put up a building there (or planted reeds). When Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived, he mentioned to him that he had bought land. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked him: From whom did you buy that land? He replied: From its owners. When evening came and the companions of Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) gathered, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) called Utbah and said: From whom did you buy that land? He replied: From its owners. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) (asked his companions:) Did you sell anything? They replied: No! Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: These people are the owners of this land, so return the land to the person from whom you bought it and take back the price.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Bukayr bin Amir al-Bajali, whom the majority of the imams declared da'if (weak). It has been reported from Imam Ahmad that he declared him trustworthy, but the authentic report from Imam Ahmad is that he declared him weak; and Allah knows best.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he asked Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) about the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) concerning the land of the non-Arabs. Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and in the original heard copy
this report is missing; its chain contains a narrator, Bishr bin Umarah al-Khath'ami, who is da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Asim bin Adi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: My brother and I bought one hundred shares from the shares of Khaybar. News of this reached the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: O Asim! Two attacking wolves that fall upon goats do not harm the owners of the goats more than the love of wealth and extravagance ruins a man's religion.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain contains a narrator whom I do not know.
