وَعَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ قَالَ : اشْتَرَيْتُ أَنَا ، وَأَخِي مِائَةَ سَهْمٍ مِنْ سِهَامِ خَيْبَرَ ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : " يَا عَاصِمُ ، مَا ذِئْبَانِ عَادِيَانِ أَصَابَا غَنَمًا أَضَاعَهَا رَبُّهَا بِأَفْسَدَ لَهَا مِنْ حُبِّ الْمَرْءِ الْمَالَ وَالسَّرَفَ لِدِينِهِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ مَنْ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ .

Sayyiduna Asim bin Adi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: My brother and I bought one hundred shares from the shares of Khaybar. News of this reached the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: O Asim! Two attacking wolves that fall upon goats do not harm the owners of the goats more than the love of wealth and extravagance ruins a man's religion.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain contains a narrator whom I do not know.
