Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade (eating the meat of) every predatory animal with fangs and every bird with talons; and he forbade the price of a dead animal, (eating) the meat of domestic donkeys, the earnings of a prostitute, giving a stud animal for mating (in exchange for payment), and (using) cushions of purple (urjuwan). (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: In the "Sahih", only the part about domestic donkeys and the purple cushions is reported from this narration.
Abdullah bin Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

(The narrator says:) Sayyiduna al-Bara' (may Allah be pleased with him) had a male animal (a billy-goat); whoever asked for it for mating, he would give it to him.
