Sayyiduna Amir bin Rabi'ah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perform Hajj and Umrah one after the other, for performing them one after the other removes poverty and sins just as the furnace removes the dross (that is, the rust) of iron."
Imam Ahmad and Imam al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir recorded this narration. The wording he recorded is: "Performing the two one after the other increases lifespan and provision, and the two of them remove poverty and sins just as the furnace removes the dross (that is, the rust) of iron." The chain of this narration contains a narrator, Asim bin Ubaydullah, who is da'if (weak).
