بَابُ الْمُتَابَعَةِ بَيْنَ الْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ .

وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَدِيمُوا الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ ; فَإِنَّهَا يَنْفِيَانِ الْفَقْرَ وَالذُّنُوبَ كَمَا يَنْفِي الْكِيرُ خَبَثَ الْحَدِيدِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ وَمَعَ ذَلِكَ فَحَدِيثُهُ حَسَنٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ وَمَعَ ذَلِكَ فَحَدِيثُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Keep performing Hajj and Umrah constantly; the two of them remove poverty and sins just as the furnace removes the dross (that is, the rust) of iron."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Aqil, about whom there has been criticism; in spite of that, the hadith he narrates is hasan (good).
