بَابُ الْمُتَابَعَةِ بَيْنَ الْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ .

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَدِيمُوا الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ فَإِنَّهُمَا يَنْفِيَانِ الْفَقْرَ وَالذُّنُوبَ كَمَا يَنْفِي الْكِيرُ خَبَثَ الْحَدِيدِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Keep performing Hajj and Umrah constantly, for the two of them remove poverty and sins just as the furnace removes the dross (that is, the rust) of iron."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Ali bin Zayd, about whom there has been criticism.
