Sayyiduna Hisl (may Allah be pleased with him), who belonged to Banu Amir bin Lu'ayy, narrates: During his Hajj, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a man, and we were with him. That man had completed his Hajj. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him: "Did your Hajj remain sound?" He replied: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then begin your deeds anew" (that is, your past sins have been forgiven).
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Abu Bakr bin Abi Sabrah, who is extremely da'if (weak).
