The third said: O Messenger of Allah! O Messenger of Allah! I had one dinar, and I gave a tenth of it in charity. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever does any good, whether a Muslim or a disbeliever, is rewarded for it. We said: O Messenger of Allah! We know about the Muslim being rewarded, but how is the disbeliever rewarded? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When he gives charity, or joins ties of kinship, or does a good deed, Allah Almighty rewards him, and the reward he receives is in the form of wealth or children in this world, and in the form of a punishment lighter than the other punishment. The narrator says: That is, it will be so in the Hereafter. Then he recited this verse: 'Admit the people of Pharaoh into the severest punishment.'"
Al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Utbah bin Yaqzan, who has been criticised; Ibn Hibban declared him thiqah (trustworthy). The rest of the narrators of this narration are thiqat (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shoot arrows and practise archery, and if you practise archery, that is more beloved to me. Indeed, because of a single arrow Allah Almighty admits into Paradise the one who makes it while hoping for its reward, the one who hands it over, and the one who shoots it. And because of a morsel of bread, a handful of dates, or something similar by which a poor person benefits, Allah Almighty admits three people into Paradise: the master of the house who orders it, the wife who prepares it, and the servant who hands that thing to the poor person." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "All praise belongs to Allah Almighty, who has not forgotten any one of us."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Suwayd bin Abd al-Aziz, and he is da'if (weak).

Grant my Ummah more." Then this verse was revealed: "Whoever gives Allah a goodly loan, Allah will multiply it for him many times over." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed: O my Lord! Grant my Ummah more. Then this verse was revealed: "Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without measure."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Isa bin al-Musayyab, and he is da'if (weak).
