Reports on menstruation and the woman with istihadah

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The minimum period of menstruation is three days, and the maximum is ten days."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain states that Abd al-Malik al-Kufi narrated it from al-Ala' bin Kathir. We do not know who he is.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The menstruating woman will watch for up to ten days. If she sees purity, she becomes pure; and if it exceeds ten days, she will be counted as a woman with istihadah (irregular bleeding): she will take the ritual bath (ghusl) and pray. If the blood flows heavily, she will put cotton in place, bind a cloth, and perform ablution (wudu) for every prayer. The woman in postnatal bleeding (nifas) will wait for up to forty days. Then, if she sees purity before that, she is counted as pure; and if it exceeds forty days, she takes the ruling of a woman with istihadah: she will take the ritual bath and pray. If the blood flows heavily, she will put cotton in place, bind a cloth, and perform ablution for every prayer."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Umar bin al-Husayn, who is da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The menstruating woman should wait five, seven, eight, nine or ten days; when the ten days have passed, she is counted as a woman with istihadah (irregular bleeding).
Imam Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, al-Jald bin Ayyub, who is da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The menstruating woman's blood comes in gushes, and menstrual blood has a smell by which it is recognised. When the period of menstruation has ended, let any one of you take the ritual bath (ghusl), then wash the blood off herself."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Husayn bin Abdullah bin Ubaydullah bin Abbas, who is da'if (weak). Ibn Adi says: He is among those whose hadith is written down.

Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Fatimah bint Abi Hubaysh asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). She said: "I suffer from istihadah (irregular bleeding)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Leave the prayer during the days of your menstruation, then take the ritual bath (ghusl), and perform ablution (wudu) at the time of every prayer, even if drops of blood fall on the mat." Allamah al-Haythami says: I say:
This report is in the "Sahih", but without these words: "even if drops of blood fall on the mat."
Imam Ahmad recorded it by way of Urwah without stating his lineage. According to one view this is Urwah al-Muzani, who is majhul (unknown); according to another view it is Urwah bin al-Zubayr, but the narrator Habib did not hear from him. The narrator Habib is a mudallis (one who conceals defects in the chain), and he
narrated it with "'an'anah" (using "from").

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the woman with istihadah (irregular bleeding). He said: "It is a kick of Satan, which he strikes in her womb."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it, and Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy.

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyidah Fatimah bint Qays (may Allah be pleased with her) asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the woman with istihadah (irregular bleeding). He said: "She will refrain (from prayer) during the specific days of her menstruation, and then, at the time of purity, she will take the ritual bath (ghusl), bind a cloth, and pray."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir.

In al-Mu'jam al-Awsat it is reported from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the woman with istihadah (irregular bleeding) to perform ablution (wudu) for every prayer. The narrators of the first report are the narrators of the "Sahih", and among the narrators of al-Awsat is Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Aqil, about whose use as evidence there is disagreement.

Sayyidah Sawdah bint Zam'ah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The woman with istihadah (irregular bleeding) will leave the prayer during the specific days of menstruation in which she used to refrain before; then she will take the ritual bath (ghusl) once, and then perform ablution (wudu) at the time of every prayer."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain states that Ja'far narrated it from Sayyidah Sawdah (may Allah be pleased with her), and I do not know this person.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The woman with istihadah (irregular bleeding) takes the ritual bath (ghusl) from one menstrual period to the next."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Saghir; its chain contains a narrator, Baqiyyah bin al-Walid, who is a mudallis (one who conceals defects in the chain).
