Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) — the narrator says: perhaps he also said: we were 60 men sitting there. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept narrating hadiths to us; then he (peace and blessings be upon him) went into his house for some need, and we began going over those hadiths among ourselves, one by one, until, when we got up, it was as though they had been sown in our hearts.
Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Yazid al-Raqashi, and he is da'if (weak).

It is reported about Sayyiduna Fadalah bin Ubayd (may Allah be pleased with him) that when his students came to him, he would say: Teach one another, and receive glad tidings, and increase (in goodness); Allah Almighty will grant you increase in goodness; He will love you, and He will also love whoever loves you. And bring the questions back to us, for the reward of the last of it will be like that of the first of it. And mix seeking forgiveness (istighfar) into your conversation.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy.

Abu Nadrah narrates: I said to Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him): Dictate to us (so that we may write)! He said: We will not dictate to you, nor will we make them (the hadiths, by having them written down) into a Qur'an. Rather, learn from us just as we learned from the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say: Narrate hadith to one another, for sometimes one hadith brings another hadith to mind.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
