Al-Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) or Sayyiduna Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him). Sa'id (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I think he narrates it from Sayyiduna Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him); the doubt is from Sa'id. He said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Any woman whom two guardians marry off, the word of the first will be taken into account."

Al-Hasan narrates from Samurah or Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When two guardians conclude a marriage, the first has the greater right; and when two people transact a sale, the first has the greater right."
This difference in the chain of this hadith came from Ibn Abi Arubah; Aban al-Attar followed him from Qatadah in saying "from Uqbah bin Amir", and the correct version is the narration of those who narrated it from Samurah bin Jundub.
