Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the Ifadah on the Day of Sacrifice, then returned and prayed Zuhr at Mina.
Nafi' said: Ibn Umar would perform the Ifadah on the Day of Sacrifice, then return and pray Zuhr at Mina, and he would mention that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did so.

(a) Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), speaking about the Hajj of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), says: Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) went back to the House and prayed Zuhr in Makkah.
(b) Imam Abu Dawud (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated this in al-Marasil with his chain from Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him), that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had finished stoning the Jamrah, he returned to the place of sacrifice and sacrificed, then shaved his head, then went back from there in that same state.
(c) Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) says: Abu al-Zubayr (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) and Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) delayed Tawaf al-Ziyarah until the night.

(a) It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) and Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delayed Tawaf al-Ziyarah on the Day of Sacrifice until the night.
(b) We have already mentioned, in the hadith of Abu Salamah, that Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: We performed Hajj with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and we performed the Ifadah on the Day of Sacrifice itself.
Abu al-Zubayr heard from Ibn Abbas, but his hearing from Aishah is questionable; al-Bukhari said this.

Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave his Companions permission, so they visited the House at midday, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) visited it with his wives at night.

Likewise (through another chain).
(b) Urwah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah have mercy on him) held the view that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed Tawaf on his she-camel at night; but the most authentic of these narrations are the hadiths of Nafi' from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), of Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), and of Abu Salamah from Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her). And Allah knows best.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: Ibrahim (peace be upon him) came to his stopping place at Mina and spent the night there until morning came and the sun rose. Then he came to his stopping place at Arafah and stayed there until, when the sun set, he departed and came to his stopping place at Jam' and spent the night there, until, when the time of 'al-salat al-mu'ajjalah' (the prayer offered early) came, he stood, until, when the time of 'al-salat al-musfirah' (the prayer offered in the daylight) came, he departed. This is the way of your father Ibrahim (peace be upon him), and your Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has been commanded to follow it.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated a similar hadith; then he stayed until the morning prayer. Allah Almighty revealed to His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Follow the religion of Ibrahim, the upright, and he was not of the polytheists." [Surah al-Nahl: 123].

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: Jibril (peace be upon him) took Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him) to Mina, and there he prayed Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha and the morning prayer. Then he went from Mina to Arafat and prayed the two prayers there, then stayed until the sun disappeared. Then he brought him to Muzdalifah, where he spent the night and prayed the morning prayer in the way the Muslims pray it at its earliest; then he stood there in the way the Muslims pray it at its latest. Then he went to Mina, stoned, sacrificed and shaved his head. Then Allah Almighty revealed to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him): "Follow the religion of Ibrahim (peace be upon him), the upright, and he was not of the polytheists." [Surah al-Nahl: 123].

Likewise (through another chain), with these words: Then he shaved his head, then took him on to the House. And Allah Almighty said to His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Then We revealed to you: Follow the religion of Ibrahim, the upright, and he was not of the polytheists." [Surah al-Nahl: 123].

Through another chain a marfu' narration with the same meaning is reported. In it there is this addition: Then he brought him (Ibrahim, peace be upon him) to the House and he performed Tawaf of it; then he took him back to Mina and he spent those days there. Then Allah revealed to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him): "Follow the religion of Ibrahim, the upright, and he was not of the polytheists." [Surah al-Nahl: 123]. The more correct view is that it is mawquf (a statement of the Companion).
