Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) says: When a man would present his need to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) after the iqamah for the prayer had been called, or after he (peace and blessings be upon him) had come down from the pulpit, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would fulfill his need and then lead the prayer.
Abu Dawud said about this hadith: It is not known from Thabit; it is among the reports that Jarir bin Hazim alone narrated.
