أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُقْرِئُ، أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ حَفْصَةَ بَكَتْ عَلَى عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ: مَهْلًا يَا بُنَيَّةُ أَلَمْ تَعْلَمِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ لَيُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ ". رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَغَيْرِهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ وَأَخْرَجَهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ بِمَعْنَاهُ فِي الْبُكَاءِ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) wept over Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said: Wait, my daughter! Do you not know that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The deceased is punished because of the weeping of his family."
