وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْعَلَوِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو حَامِدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الدُّولَابِيُّ، ثنا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَفْصٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " الْمَيِّتُ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ الْحِيِّ ".
Abu Bakr bin Hafs (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I heard Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrating from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him): "The deceased is punished because of the weeping of the living."
