أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو صَالِحِ بْنُ أَبِي طَاهِرٍ، أنبأ جَدِّي يَحْيَى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ، أنبأ الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، لَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ سَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ قَالَتْ: " ادْخُلُوا بِهِ الْمَسْجِدَ حَتَّى أُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ " فَأُنْكِرَ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهَا، فَقَالَتْ: " وَاللهِ لَقَدْ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى ابْنَيْ بَيْضَاءَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، سُهَيْلٍ وَأَخِيهِ " رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ وَغَيْرِهِ.
It is narrated from Abu Salamah bin Abd al-Rahman (may Allah have mercy on him) that when Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away, Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Bring him into the mosque so that I too may offer his funeral prayer. Objection was raised to this, so Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: By Allah! The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) offered the funeral prayer of the two sons of Bayda', Suhayl and his brother, in the mosque.
