وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ، أنا الرَّبِيعُ، أنا الشَّافِعِيُّ، أنا سَعِيدٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَطَاءً، يَقُولُ: سُئِلَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ صَيْدِ الْجَرَادِ، فِي الْحَرَمِ، فَقَالَ: " لَا " وَنَهَى عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَمَا قُلْتَ لَهُ أَوْ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ: فَإِنَّ قَوْمَكَ يَأْخُذُونَهُ وَهُمْ مُحْتَبُونَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، فَقَالَ: لَا يَعْلَمُونَ.
Ata said: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) was asked about hunting locusts inside the sanctuary, and he said: No, and he forbade it. (Ata) said: I said to him, or a man among the people said: Your own people catch them while sitting with their knees drawn up (muhtabun) in the mosque. He said: They do not know.
