قَالَ: وَأنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ، وَأنا مُسْلِمٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ مِثْلَهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ: مُنْحَنُونَ، قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ وَمُسْلِمٌ: أَصْوَبُهُمَا رَوَى الْحُفَّاظُ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ مُنْحَنُونَ.
Imam al-Shafi'i (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated the like of it from Muslim, from Ibn Jurayj, from Ata, from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), except that it has the word munhanun (bending over). Imam al-Shafi'i (may Allah have mercy on him) and Muslim said: The more correct of the two is munhanun, which is what the hadith masters (huffaz) narrated from Ibn Jurayj.
