Hadith Beginning with the Letter Sin (س)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Soon there will be mines around which the worst of people will gather."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The two prostrations of forgetfulness (sajdat al-sahw) in the prayer suffice (to make up) for every kind of addition and omission."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Keep to moderation and try to come close (to perfection)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Keep to moderation and try to come close (to perfection), and rejoice, and know that the deeds of none of you will admit him into Paradise, nor me, unless Allah covers me with forgiveness and mercy."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The happiness of the son of Adam is in three things, and his misery is also in three things. Of the happiness of the son of Adam are: a righteous wife, a good mount and a spacious home. And the misery of the son of Adam is in three things: a bad home, a bad wife and a bad mount."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Her (the virgin's) silence is her consent."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Ask Allah for pardon and well-being in this world and the Hereafter."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Ask Allah for pardon and well-being, for no one has been given, after certainty (faith), anything better than well-being."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Ask Allah to conceal your faults and to turn your fears into safety."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Ask Allah (when supplicating) with the palms of your hands, and do not ask Him with the backs of them."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Ask Allah for beneficial knowledge, and seek refuge with Allah from knowledge that does not benefit."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Ask Allah for al-Wasilah for me, which is the highest rank in Paradise; only one man will attain it, and I hope that I will be he."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Ask Allah for al-Wasilah for me, for no servant in this world asks for it for me except that I will be a witness or an intercessor for him on the Day of Resurrection."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Have you heard of a city, one side of which is on land and one side in the sea? The Hour will not be established until seventy thousand of the children of Ishaq attack it. When they reach it, they will camp there; they will not fight with any weapon nor shoot a single arrow, but will say: 'La ilaha illallahu wallahu akbar' (There is none worthy of worship except Allah, and Allah is the Greatest), and one of its sides, the one in the sea, will fall. Then they will say a second time: 'La ilaha illallahu wallahu akbar', and its other side will also fall. Then they will say a third time: 'La ilaha illallahu wallahu akbar', and the way will be opened for them, and they will enter it and take spoils. Then while they are dividing the spoils, suddenly a caller will come and say: The Dajjal has emerged! So they will leave everything and return."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Name your son Abdur-Rahman."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Mention the name of Allah over it and eat it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Name (your children) with my name, but do not take my kunyah (Abu al-Qasim)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Name (your children) with my name, but do not take my kunyah, for I have only been sent as a distributor (qasim) who distributes (things) among you."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Surah Tabarak (al-Mulk) is the one that protects from the punishment of the grave."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A surah of the Qur'an consisting of only thirty verses argued on behalf of its reciter (before Allah) until it admitted him into Paradise, and it is Surah Tabarak."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When you bury the dead, keep the graves level with the ground (flat)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Straighten your rows, or else Allah will cause discord between your faces (hearts)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Straighten your rows, for straightening the rows is part of establishing the prayer."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Straighten your rows, so that discord does not enter your hearts."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"In a time of tribulation, a man's safety lies in staying in his house."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Deceptive years will come upon the people, in which the liar will be regarded as truthful and the truthful as a liar, the treacherous will be regarded as trustworthy and the trustworthy as treacherous, and in them the Ruwaybidah will speak. It was asked: What is the Ruwaybidah? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The contemptible, worthless man who speaks about the affairs of the public."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"People will come to you seeking knowledge. When you see them, say to them: Welcome, in accordance with the bequest of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and give them (religious) guidance."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Sayhan, Jayhan, the Euphrates and the Nile are all among the rivers of Paradise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Some people will emerge from my Ummah who will drink the Qur'an (recite it) just as they drink milk."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"In the last times, people will emerge who are young in age and foolish in mind. They will speak the best words of creation. They will recite the Qur'an, but it will not go beyond their throats. They will pass out of the religion just as an arrow passes through the game. So when you meet them, kill them, for in killing them there is a reward with Allah on the Day of Resurrection for the one who kills them."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Keep moving, this is Jumdan (a mountain). The Mufarridun have gone ahead: those men who remember Allah much and those women who remember Allah."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"This religion will also be strengthened by men who will have no share with Allah."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When they become Muslims, they will both give charity and wage jihad."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"My Ummah will be afflicted by the same disease that afflicted the (earlier) nations: arrogance, insolence, the race for abundance of wealth in the world, mutual rancour, hatred and envy, until transgression and oppression arise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The matter will reach the point where you become organised armies: an army in Syria (al-Sham), an army in Yemen and an army in Iraq. Hold fast to Syria, for it is the chosen land of Allah, to which He draws His chosen servants. If you refuse that, then hold fast to your Yemen and keep drawing water from your pools, for Allah has taken it upon Himself, for my sake, to look after Syria and its people."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Some people will recite the Qur'an, but it will not go beyond their throats. They will pass out of the religion just as an arrow passes through the game."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Soon there will be rulers of whom you will approve (some deeds) and disapprove (others). Whoever openly opposes them will be saved, whoever keeps away from them will remain safe, and whoever mingles with them will be ruined."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"After me there will be people from my Ummah who will recite the Qur'an, but it will not go beyond their throats. They will pass out of the religion just as an arrow passes through the game, and then they will not return to it. They will be the worst of all creation. Their sign will be the shaving of the head."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"There will be men in my Ummah who will eat all kinds of food, drink all kinds of drinks, wear all kinds of clothes and speak with affectation and pretension. These will be the worst people of my Ummah."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Rulers will be placed over you who will delay the prayer beyond its times and introduce innovations. Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: Then what should I do? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O son of Umm Abd! You ask me what you should do? There is no obedience to the one who disobeys Allah."
