«التمر بالتمر والحنطة بالحنطة والشعير بالشعير والملح بالملح مثلا بمثل يدا بيد فمن زاد واستزاد فقد أربى إلا ما اختلفت ألوانه»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Dates for dates, wheat for wheat, barley for barley and salt for salt must be like for like and hand to hand. Whoever gives more or asks for more has engaged in usury (riba), unless their kinds are different."
