حدثنا علي بن عيسى الحِيرِي، حدثنا المسيّب بن زُهير البغدادي، حدثنا عاصم بن علي، حدثنا إسماعيل بن جعفر، حدثنا عمرو (3) بن أبي عمرو، عن المطَّلِب بن عبد الله، عن عُبادة بن الصامت، أنَّ نبيَّ الله ﷺ قال: "اضمَنُوا لي ستًّا من أنفسِكم أضمَنْ لكم الجنَّةَ: اصدقُوا إذا حَدَّثَتُم، وأَوفُوا إِذا وَعَدتُم، وأدُّوا إِذا اؤْتُمِنتُم، واحفَظُوا فُروجَكم، وغُضُّوا أبصارَكم، وكُفُّوا أيديكم" (4).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. وشاهدُه حديث سعد بن سِنان عن أنس الذي:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubadah bin al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Guarantee me six things from yourselves, and I will guarantee you Paradise: speak the truth when you speak, fulfil your promise when you promise, render back the trust when something is entrusted to you, guard your private parts, lower your gaze, and restrain your hands (from wrongdoing and aggression)."
This hadith has an authentic chain (sahih al-isnad), but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it, and the hadith of Sa'd bin Sinan narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) is a supporting witness (shahid) for it.

حدَّثَناه أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا الرَّبيع بن سليمان، حدثنا شعيب بن الليث بن سعد، حدثنا الليث، عن يزيد بن أبي حَبيب، عن سعد بن سِنان، عن أنس بن مالك، عن رسول الله ﷺ أنه قال: "تَقبَّلوا لي بستٍّ أتقبل لكم الجنَّةَ" قالوا: وما هي؟ قال: "إذا حدَّث أحدُكم فلا يَكذِبْ، وإذا وَعَدَ فلا يُخلِفْ، وإذا اؤْتُمِنَ فلا يَخُنْ، وغُضُّوا أبصاركم، وكُفُّوا أيديكم واحفَظُوا فُروجَكم" (1).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Guarantee me six things of yours, and I will guarantee you Paradise." The Companions asked: What are they? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When one of you speaks, let him not lie; when he makes a promise, let him not break it; when something is entrusted to him, let him not betray it; and lower your gaze, restrain your hands (from wrongdoing), and guard your private parts."
