أخبرنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا يحيى بن محمد بن يحيى، حدثنا مُسدَّد، حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد، عن ابن عَجْلان عن سُمَيّ، عن أبي صالح، عن أبي هريرة: أن النبي ﷺ كان إذا عَطَسَ غطَّى وجهَه بيده أو بثوبه، وغَضَّ بها صوتَه (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sneezed, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would cover his blessed face with his hand or his garment and lower his voice.
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا محمد بن سِنان القزَّاز، حدثنا يزيد بن هارون، أخبرنا مِسعَر، عن ثابت بن عُبيد، عن عبد الرحمن بن أبي ليلى، عن خَوَّات بن جُبير قال: نومٌ أولَ النهار، خُرْق، وأوسطَه خُلْق، وآخرَه حُمْق (1).

Sayyiduna Khawwat bin Jubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Sleeping in the early part of the day is foolishness, sleeping in the middle of the day (the siesta, qaylulah) is an excellent habit, and sleeping in the last part of the day (after Asr) is stupidity.
