مَا عَلِمَ اللَّهُ مِنْ عَبْدٍ نَدَامَةً عَلَى ذَنْبٍ إِلَّا غَفَرَ لَهُ .

أخبرنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن عبد الله الزاهد الأصبهاني، حَدَّثَنَا أبو بكر بن أبي الدُّنيا القرشي، حدثني الحسن بن الصَّبّاح، حَدَّثَنَا محمد بن سليمان، حَدَّثَنَا هشام بن زياد، عن أبي الزِّناد، عن القاسم بن محمد، عن عائشة، عن النَّبِيّ ﷺ قال: "ما عَلِمَ اللهُ من عبدٍ نَدَامَةً على ذَنْبٍ، إِلَّا غَفَرَ له قبل أن يَستغفِرَه منه" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever remorse Allah Almighty sees in a servant's heart over his sin, He forgives him even before he asks forgiveness for it."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

أخبرنا علي بن محمد بن عُقْبة الشَّيباني بالكوفة، حَدَّثَنَا الخَضِر بن أبان الهاشمي، حَدَّثَنَا معاوية بن هشام، حَدَّثَنَا سفيان، عن السُّدِّي، عن أبي الضُّحى، عن مسروق، عن عبد الله في قوله ﷿: ﴿لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ﴾ قال: يتوبون (3).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) concerning the saying of Allah Almighty: "So that perhaps they will return" [Surah al-Sajdah: 21], that he said: (It means) that they repent.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

أخبرنا أبو عبد الله الصَّفَّار، حَدَّثَنَا أبو بكر بن أبي الدُّنيا، حَدَّثَنَا سليمان بن عبد الجبار، حَدَّثَنَا همَّام وحمَّاد بن سَلَمة، قالا: حَدَّثَنَا إسحاق بن عبد الله بن أبي طلحة، عن أنس قال: جاء رجلٌ إلى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فقال: يا رسول الله، أصبتُ حدًّا، قال: فلم يسأله عنه، وأُقيمتِ الصلاةُ، فصلَّى النَّبِيّ ﷺ، فلمَّا فَرَغَ من صلاته قال: يا رسولَ الله، أصبتُ حدًّا، فأقِمْ فيَّ كتابَ الله، قال: "صلَّيتَ معنا الصلاةَ؟ " قال: نعم، قال: "قد غُفِرَ لك" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه!

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I have committed a sin that carries a prescribed punishment (hadd). The narrator says: He (peace and blessings be upon him) did not ask him anything about it. Then the prayer was established, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the prayer. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) had finished the prayer, the man said again: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I have committed a sin that carries a prescribed punishment, so carry out (the punishment of) the Book of Allah upon me. He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Did you pray with us?" He said: Yes. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You have been forgiven."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.
