Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 7838

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever remorse Allah Almighty sees in a servant's heart over his sin, He forgives him even before he asks forgiveness for it."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
