حَدَّثَنَا أبو عبد الله محمد بن يعقوب بن يوسف الشَّيباني، حَدَّثَنَا علي بن الحسن الهِلالي، حَدَّثَنَا عبد الملك بن إبراهيم، حَدَّثَنَا شُعبة، عن أبي إسحاق، عن أبي عُبيدة، عن عبد الله قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "ارحَمْ مَن فِي الأَرْضِ يَرحَمْكَ مَن في السَّماء" (4)
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Show mercy to those on the earth, and the One who is above the heaven will show mercy to you."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

أخبرني إبراهيم بن عِصمة بن إبراهيم العَدْل، حَدَّثَنَا أبي، حَدَّثَنَا يحيى بن يحيى، أخبرنا جَرير، عن منصور، عن أبي عثمان، عن أبي هريرة قال: قال خَليلي وصَفِيِّي صاحبُ هذه الحُجْرة ﷺ: "ما نُزِعَتِ الرَّحمةُ إِلَّا مِن شَقِيٍّ" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. وأبو عثمان هذا: هو مولى المغيرة، وليس بالنَّهْديِّ، ولو كان النَّهديَّ لحكمتُ بصحَّته على شرط الشيخين.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that my intimate friend and chosen beloved, the owner of this chamber (peace and blessings be upon him), said: "Mercy is taken away only from the heart of a wretched person."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it. This Abu Uthman is the freed slave of al-Mughirah, not al-Nahdi; had he been al-Nahdi, I would have judged it sahih on the condition of the two Shaykhs.
