أخبرني إسماعيل بن محمد بن الفضل بن محمد الشعراني، حدثنا جَدِّي، حدثنا إبراهيم بن المنذر الحزامي، حدثنا محمد بن فليح، عن موسى بن عقبة، عن ابن شهاب قال: خرج رسول الله ﷺ من العام القابل عامَ الحديبية مُعتمِرًا في ذي القعدة سنة سبع، وهو الشهر الذي صده فيه المشركون عن المسجد الحرام، حتى إذا بلغ يأجَجَ بعث جعفر بن أبي طالب بين يديه إلى ميمونة بنت الحارث بن حَزْن العامرية، فخطبها عليه، فجعلت أمرها إلى العباس بن عبد المطلب، وكانت أختها أم الفضل تحته، فزوجها العباس رسول الله ﷺ، فأقام النَّبيُّ ﷺ بسَرِفَ حتى قدمت ميمونةُ، فبنى بها بسَرِفَ، وقدَّر الله تعالى أن يكون موتُ ميمونة بنت الحارث بسرف بعد ذلك بحين، فتوفِّيَت حيث بَنَى بها رسول الله ﷺ (1).
It is narrated from Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) set out to perform Umrah in the year after (the Treaty of) al-Hudaybiyah, in the month of Dhu al-Qa'dah, 7 AH. This was the same month in which the polytheists had barred him (peace and blessings be upon him) from al-Masjid al-Haram. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) reached Ya'jaj, he (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Sayyiduna Ja'far bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) to Sayyidah Maymunah bint al-Harith with a proposal of marriage. She entrusted her affairs to Sayyiduna al-Abbas bin Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him), while her sister Umm al-Fadl was married to Sayyiduna al-Abbas. So Sayyiduna al-Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) married her to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed at Sarif until Sayyidah Maymunah arrived, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) consummated the marriage with her at Sarif itself. And see the decree of Allah Almighty: a long time afterwards, Sayyidah Maymunah also died at Sarif, that is, she died in the very place where the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had spent his first night with her.
حدثنا أبو العبّاس محمد بن يعقوب حدثنا أحمد بن عبد الجبار، حدثنا يونس بن بكير، عن ابن إسحاق، حدثني ابن أبي نجيح، عن عطاء ومجاهد، عن ابن عباس: أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ تزوّج ميمونة بنت الحارث وأقام بمكة ثلاثًا، فأتاه حُويطِب بن عبد العُزَّى في نَفَرٍ من قريش في اليوم الثالث، فقالوا له: إنه قد انقضي أجلك فاخرج عنا، قال: "وما عليكم لو تركتموني فأعرَستُ بين أظهركم فصنعتُ لكم طعامًا فحضرتموه"، قالوا: لا حاجة لنا في طعامك، فاخرُجْ عنَّا، فخرج بميمونة بنت الحارث حتى أعرَسَ بها بسَرِفَ (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه. وممّا يُتعَجَّب من قضاء الله وقدره أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ بَنَى بميمونة بنت الحارث بسَرِفَ، وردَّها إلى المدينة عند مُنصَرَفه من عُمرة القضاء، وبقيت عنده إلى أن خرج رسول الله ﷺ لفتح مكة، وقد أخرجها معه إلى أن فتح الطائف وانصرف راجعًا إلى المدينة، فماتت ميمونة بسَرِفَ في الموضع الذي بَنَى بها رسول الله ﷺ عند تزويجها.

هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه. وممّا يُتعَجَّب من قضاء الله وقدره أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ بَنَى بميمونة بنت الحارث بسَرِفَ، وردَّها إلى المدينة عند مُنصَرَفه من عُمرة القضاء، وبقيت عنده إلى أن خرج رسول الله ﷺ لفتح مكة، وقد أخرجها معه إلى أن فتح الطائف وانصرف راجعًا إلى المدينة، فماتت ميمونة بسَرِفَ في الموضع الذي بَنَى بها رسول الله ﷺ عند تزويجها.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married Sayyidah Maymunah bint al-Harith and stayed in Makkah for three days. On the third day Huwaytib bin Abd al-Uzza came with a group of Quraysh and said: "Your time is up, so now leave our city." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What harm would it do you if you let me stay here, so that I could hold the wedding among you and prepare food for you, which you would also attend?" They said: "We have no need of your food; leave this place." So he (peace and blessings be upon him) set out with Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) until he consummated the marriage with her at Sarif.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
