Mention of the virtues of Abdullah bin Mughaffal al-Muzani (may Allah be pleased with him)

Abu Muhammad Ahmad bin Abdullah bin Bishr bin Mughaffal bin Hassan, through Abu Ubaydah Ma'mar bin al-Muthanna, states the lineage of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) as follows: Abdullah bin Mughaffal bin Abd Nuhm bin Afif bin Suhaym bin Rabi'ah bin Adi bin Tha'labah bin Dhu'ayb bin Sa'd bin Uthman bin Amr bin Udd bin Tabikhah.

It is narrated from Khalifah bin Khayyat that the kunyah of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal al-Muzani (may Allah be pleased with him) was Abu Sa'id. He gave the same lineage as before, but added that his mother's name was al-Ablah bint Mu'awiyah bin Mu'awiyah, who was from the tribe of Muzaynah, and that he had a house in Basrah near the Jami' Mosque.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said (in his dying instructions): "When I die, put camphor in my last washing, and shroud me in two Yemeni cloaks (burdayn) and a shirt, for this was done with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."
Mention of Sayyiduna Ka'b and Sayyiduna Bujayr, the two sons of Zuhayr (may Allah be pleased with them both).
